pros:

I am a huge Clinique fan. I must say that most, if not actually all, my colour make-up is from Clinique - it just seems to work best for me and my sensitive skin and this product is no exception.I have been using this for many years now and despite sometimes going awol and trying other versions from other lines I always come back to this. I like it's creamy- but not too creamy- texture and the way product blends and binds with this base. I very much like the fact that it doesn't cause any irritation at all- as do many other brands.My only request would be that as I get older a non-irridescent version with slightly more 'creaminess' would be more flattering as my eyelids start to get a little crepey. How about that for you next R&D project Clinique ? :)

A daily must-wear!

pros:

This super eye base has fast become an everyday basic for me. It's a great base for eye shadow, to hold your colour in place for longer (without it creeping into the creases), but I mostly just wear it on it's own with a little eye liner and mascara. It's a nice tone that gives your eyes a gentle freshness during the day.I'd even go as far to say it's my top discovery of 2009. It's like hair straighteners - I don't know how I managed before it!Thanks Clinique. Would love to see a similar product for as a foundation base.

I was in despair when Clinique withdrewTouchbase No 10 Canvas and VERY relieved when it was brought back. This is the perfect colour/treatment base for eyes, removing the 'starled pink eyed rabbit' look and providing a neutral base for eyshadow. Is very effective worn on its own with mascara.

pros:

I was very disappointed. It is lovely and matt when it is first applied. I thought it would actually do the job of being the perfect base for my eyeshadows.The shadow is a good neutral colourbut it didn't stay the whole day it creased..I Am pleased with the neutral colour which does higlight my eyes.

pros:

This really is a fantastic base or can be worn on its own. I use the Canvas Light and it gives such a gentle but effective radiance to the eyes. Sometimes I wear it on its own (a lovely pale-ish gold) or as a base for other eye shadows and it gives them a lift and also helps them to stay put all day instead of wearing off. Have bought one for a friend and one of my sisters. Five stars!

Creamy eyelid treat!

Never used an eye shadow base before, however after using this I can see the benefit, my eyeshadow seems to stay put for longer, but my eyelids also seem moisterised! I have also used this with a slick of mascara and this is very effective for a very natural look.

As I have reddish skin around my eyelids, eyeshadows tend to have a distorted colour, so I wanted a good eye foundation base. I purchased the light colour, and as advertised, it stays put and doesn't crease. However, I didn't realise it would be quite as sparkly and wish it were matte, as it does tend to accentuate my slightly "gooseflesh" skin on my eyelids. Please can we have a matte version?

pros:

This product is nicely and conveniently packaged. It is very easy to use and has great coverage. The shade is a good all round colour, not too light nor too dark. Pity it is so very glittery, a matt or less glittery option would be good. I use it alone, and cant quite see how it could be used as a base for a matt colour. All in all it is a great product tho. Please, clinique, make a matt version too!

This is a product I've been searching for on the high street for so long now. For those who have complained it's too sparkly - there are two options - matt and sheer. I chose the matt, as I wanted a base / concealer that worked for once, and it really does. It brightens your eyes, stays on and fits perfectly in your make up bag. I just wish it went a little further for the money.

A decent base that does help your eyeshadow remain fixed for longer. The only reason I didn't give it full marks is that it is too pale for my skin-tone. There used to be a darker shade (I think it was called Canvas Deep) that was perfect for me but sady they don't offer it any more.

This is a lovely product once you've got it on. I may just be doing it wrong, but I'm applying it as gently as possible with my ring finger and I'm conscious that I may be tugging at the skin somewhat. Having said that, it does give a lovely base for eyeshadow.

After reading some of the reveiws i was'nt to sure but i went ahead and bought it.. No regrets! It really works my eyeshadow stayed put near enough all day and never went into the creases! Impressive! I went for the canvas light which is the shimmer one which looks great and can be used as a high lighter or just a base for eye shadow either way works great :)

pros:

Ive never used a base before until i decided to give this a try and i must say it was the best decision ever made.The base is light and creamy and easy to use, and although it looks like its coloured in the compact it applies with only a slight sheen. The 1st advantage is the product covers well give's a good even tone to my eye which really helps to show the true colour of the eye make-up applied. The 2nd advantage it since using this my eye make-up is still as perfect at the end of the day as it is at the beginning. Its still vibrant colour and smudge free i also notice that my shadows don't crease anymore which is a bonus.

I was recommended to use this product when I first started wearing contact lenses some years ago. If you wear powder eye shadow, it tends to drift onto the lens and blurs it and liquid eyeshadow always went into the creases of my eyes. Since using this with powdered eyeshadow, I have had none of these problems and my eye makeup stays put and looks great all day.

Less is more with this product. A light touch with your ring finger is all you need, and your eye shadow stays put. I was worried the eye shadow would clog on top of the touch base, but I needn't have. Prior to using this I would retouch my eye shadow at lunch time, but not any longer. I'm converted.
