I bought this product on a whim a few days ago and I love it! It gives good coverage, but its not heavy or drying like some foundations and sits beautifully on the skin. Because its moisture surge my skin still feels soft and isnt dry mid morning like usual. VERY expensive, so I would only buy it if you know clinique works for you!

Couldn't wait to try this product & wasn't disappointed when I finally bought it! This is the best foundation I've ever tried. My skin feels soft all day & the coverage is just enough for the summer without being heavy, and it stays put all day too....total winner all round!!!! Only downside was I had to return my 1st purchase of shade 2 as it made me look very washed out....shade 3 is perfect though, so go for a darker shade than you may think you are!

Love Moisture Surge and I always wear a tinted moisturiser in the spring/summer so I went to buy this the day it officially launched with high hopes.I wasn't disappointed! It gives just enough sheer coverage to make your skin look naturally glowing, with imperfections/blemishes smoothed away and keeps my skin beautifully hydrated all day.I had several people comment on how 'well' I was looking, the first day I used the product and even my other half commented on how good my skin looked!!Pity it comes in such a tiny bottle though but you don't need much in each application and since it has an SPF, it's perfect for the spring /summer to protect your skin, as well as making it look fantastic. I would recommend this to anyone, I love it!

I'm applying after moisturiser and it goes on really smoothly with great coverage - not heavy, sticky or shiny, Leaves my skin looking (and feeling) great and no need for foundation AT ALL. I went for shade 3 which is too fair now we have had some good weather and my skin has some colour. It isn't as good as almost make up which I loved - moisutre surge is more like a normal foundation and not tinted moisturiser.

I love this product. I have tried several other tinted moisturisers and this one is by far the best. I use it on my combination/ oily skin every day and my skin stays hydrated but with out shine. I love it so much I took it to mums for her to try, her skin is dehydrated and can be very sensitive but she loves it too.Highly recommend this and love that it contains SPF too so no need for an additional product.

I was very excited when I heard this was coming to the UK, so much so I bought it only a few days after it arrived over here. It is just gorgeous on my skin, it leaves a summery glow that a number of people have commented on. I certainly don't think that it is too small a container, you only need a small amount. I received the tester for this product in a magazine (shade 3) and didn't really think that it would work, but tried it anyway. I was pleasantly surprised as i applied the moisturizer as it was like i had got a natural tan and it made my skin look flawless. I am only 16 and i don't have many blemishes so i usually just use a loose powder for coverage but after applying this product i didn't need to add any more make-up. It made my face glow and felt extremely light! It gave me a confidence boost and my mum even asked me whether i was using 'special' makeup! I am definitely going to buy this product as I think it works miracles!

I bought this to replace Almost Make Up and I don't find it anywhere near as good. It doesn't go on the skin very well, looks really thick and is quite difficult to blend. i preferred Almost Make Up for it's sheerness and blendability in the early morning when you have no time !Having said that when blended and dry the moisturiser does give the skin a lovely finish.

I got this as a free sample. I really wanted a tinted moisturiser to replace using foundation. I thought--great SPF, tint, and moisture in one. Unfortunately it is not right for my skin. It irritated my sensitive skin and left it feeling really dry. The fragrance was really strong and unpleasant. I gather it was due to the SPF - not sure but smelled awful to me. Afraid I will be looking to another skin range for my tinted moisturiser.

I used Almost Make-up previous to this replacement product. The colour suits my pale complexion, and not too heavy, with some moisture.However this new bottle is smaller (for same price) and doesn't allow for much control in how much comes out. I carry the bottle around in my bag too, and tend to find that it leaks inside the lid, so becomes a bit messy around the tip.Would have preferred if Almost make-up was not discontinued.

I also bought this as a substitute for Almost Makeup and it does not even come close. I have dry to dry/combination skin and have used moisture surge as a hydration booster many times. So I was expecting outstanding moisture.... Instead it´s really thick and dry! You have to use too much if used alone (even then it´s to dry) and it´s even a bit dry when used over another moisturizer.What in the world happened? Is my bottle the odd one out...maybe..? :(

The best foundation product I have ever come across, it looks like your own skin but manages to cover any uneven skin tones without looking heavy. I usually have a problem getting foundation to blend into my skin but this product goes on easily and doesn't give you that heavily made up look. Bought this recently when I discovered that Almost Make-Up has been discontinued. I've used Almost Make-Up for many years, hating the mask-like look and feel of a full foundation, so I was very disappointed to discover that such a popular and fantastic product is no longer available.I like Moisture Surge Tinted Moisturiser - but not as much as Almost Make-Up. It isn't as light nor as blendable. It's easy to use too much as it's difficult to control the amount that comes out of the bottle - a tube is easier. The coverage is nice though - it gives a little more cover than Almost Make-Up and a more matte finish. It works well with my oily combination skin type, but I'd say it would be less appropriate for dry skins.Other reviewers have mentioned the small size of the bottle - I actually like this as rarely find a foundation that fits in my make-up bag. This is nice and portable.I would buy it again, but if Almost Make-Up were to be reintroduced, I would still buy that in preference.

This was supposed to be a replacement for the Almost Makeup Tinted Moisturiser but it seems more like a foundation to me.It is much heavier and more difficult to blend in, and it looks far less natural than its predecessor. If you are looking for a foundation then this might be right for you, but I don't think it works well as a natural-looking, quickly applied product.

Having used Almost Make-up and the "old" Tinted Moisturiser for years I was really disappointed when they were both discontinued and found it totally unacceptable that there was such a long time lag between discontinuing them and providing the "new" replacement product - Moisture Surge. When it eventually did arrive I couldn't believe how awful it was by comparison with both old products.It is not easy to use (I have tried fingers, damp sponges and a brush for blending) and the result does not live up to the promises made for the product.It leaves my skin feeling and looking dry and un-cared for (which it is not!)Also, the packaging leaves much to be desired - I prefer a tube so you can see how much you have left. The bottle is hard and you end up getting far more out of it than you need so it is also wasteful.

The shade matches my skin tone, as advised by a Clinique Consultant. On application my skin feels dry but after a while the make-up moisturises. I prefer Almost Make-up, I found it easier to apply and it lasted longer, more milliletres per tube. The finish looked more natural on Almost Make-up, I was so disappointed when it was discontinued!

Huge Disapointment

I absolutely love Clinique products and have been using them for years, I was surprised when Almost Make Up was discontinued but the consultant assured me that this product would be even better. Unfortunately not, i found this product hard to blend, heavy, and not at all moisturising, in fact my skin felt very dry after application. My mum (type2 also) tried it and had the same result, my sister (type 4) said it was ok but quite hard to blend. I would not class this as a moisturiser, but rather a foundation. I also found that the bottle delivered too much product even though i was as gentle as possible when using. I have never ever had a 'bad' experience with any Clinque product so I am sorry to say this is a definite no-no for me or for anyone looking for a light, hydrating tinted moisturiser. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE bring back Almost Make Up.

pros:

Disappointed that the Almost Makeup was discontinued, didn't know this was going to happen otherwise I would of stocked up on it. This product looks and feels like a foundation, it does not feel good on my skin no matter what combination of Clinique products i use with it, the Almost Makeup made my skin feel lovely and soft all day with a natural look without the foundation feel. I haven't worn foundation for over 10 years preferring to use a tinted moisturiser for allday moisture and a natural look. Now I will have to go elsewhere and try and find a decent substitute. If I wanted a foundation I would buy a foundation not one in disguise, please please please bring back the Almost Makeup, I would definitely not recommend this product.

I love moisture surge tinted moisturiser, I use it everyday in the winter and I wouldn't use anything else. I suffer with eczema around my eyes and I have reactions to most cosmetics, but I can use moisture surge even around my eyes. I just hope that this product is never discontinued.

pros:

I have never been a fan of foundation, that feeling of something sitting on top of my skin not allowing it to breathe usually meant I had rubbed it off by the end of the day, but Moisture surge tinted Moisturizer is a whole new fabulous ballgame. I have dry patches on my face which tend to flair up in cold weather but since using Moisture surge everyday this winter I have yet to have a problem. Inwardly Moisture surge moisturises really well without being oily or greasy whilst outwardly it gently evens and brightens my skin. A great product

Having used and loved the Clinique tinted moisturiser for many years, I had hoped that this new product would be either of similar quality if not better. Instead, i have found it to be essentially a foundation - and is being mis-sold as a tinted moisturiser. I have tried at least 20 non- Clinique tinted moisturisers in search of a replacement but have found nothing that matches the quality of the old Clinique tinted moisturiser - yet none of them has been as poor as the Clinique Surge tinted moisturiser. For the past few months i have been able to buy the old product from the US at a premium cost but now find that Clinique is about to discontinue the product in the US. I wish we were given warning of products being discontinued so that I could have stocked up.

i was recommended this product by my Clinique consultant when she advised me that 'Almost Make-up' had been discontinued. It doesn't look natural and is too thick to be a 'tinted moisturiser'. 'Almost make-up' was velvety and glided onto the skin. This is the opposite. Very disappointed with this product and wish they never discontinued Almost Make up.

I must admit this Tinted Moisturizer feels very nice on my skin, it is not heavy but yet has coverage. However I have found that the product doesn't stay on long on my face, I would apply it in the morning and by mid afternoon it needs a touch up. I would suggest using this product during the day rather than evening times.

I was recommended this product when I went to buy the almost makeup alternative. I was a little disappointed that they had stopped doing it but thought I would give it a go. Well all I can say is its an excellent product, it goes on so smoothly and covers up any imperfections. The shade is just right it doesn't look like a normal foundation it just gives you a nice smooth look to your complexion and a nice base for your makeup. Well done Clinique for a lovely product.

I'm another Almost Makeup disappointee. This turns out to be really quite a good product, but I can't use it every day in the same way as I could use Almost Makeup. It gives too much coverage for us foundation-phobes and takes too long to apply for just nipping out to the shops. However, it is really good for fuller coverage when I want to look 'done'. As a result, I'm using the tiny bits left in various tubes for everyday and only using this on more smart days. The disappearance of Almost Makeup sent me back to my old tube of Superfit Makeup, which turned out to be waaay better than I remember it. So I tried to buy some more and ... ta dah, they don't do that any more, either. Come on, Clinique, I'm a working mum, I don't have time to research new foundation. I want to rely on the product still existing by the time I need to replace it.

As someone with very sensative skin i was sceptical as to weather i would be able to use this product. I can honestly say that this is the first foundation/tinted moisturiser that i have been able to use without turning red and blotchy! It is quite thick, and i would say is more like a foundation than a tinted moisturiser, but it gives a good, natural coverage and you dont know you're wearing it.

Almost Make-up was pretty close to perfect for light coverage. This is runny, yet goes on claggy and chalky and is hard to spread. After a few hours it becomes patchy. Also it has a yellow-y tone which is unflattering. I ended up throwing it away and switching to another brand, though I usually wear only Clinique.

I have quite good skin with the odd stop and slite redness in my cheeks. This product completly covers and redness and evens out my skintone but you need to wear a moisturiser under it even if you have an oily t-zone like me! I am a dancer too and it no great for staying on when your active though.

I was offered this one as and alternative to Almost Make Up that I used before. I'm used to not feeling that I am wearing make up. Unfortunately with this one, I could feel it all day. The coverage is too thick and it makes me feel like my skin is not breathing.Almost make up would not show, with this one you end up looking like you are wearing a one inch thick mask on your face!Very disappointed.

I got this as a tester in the Neutral 03 shade. Bit dark for me so got a squirt of shade 02 which turned out to be far too light! Seems a big jump between shades.I went back to 03 and mixed with some of my step 3 moisture gel. Perfect colour and improved how the tinted moisturiser went on.I too found it on its own far too thick. Even putting it on with a brush didn't help. Stayed sticky all day too. I hated that. Really felt like I was wearing make-up and I don't wear make-up often so made me quite self-conscious.

I was a bit nervous about trying this but I am so glad I did. I received a sample in the Bonus Time offer and I was pleased as I was worried about whether it would offer any coverage at all or suit my very sensitive skin. I have always used full coverage foundations for my oily skin with very visible pores. This has changed the way I use make up and my skin is in better condition for it. No pores, the slight oil looks natural and is not overwhelming as my skin is obviously moisturised but has a flawless look and feel. The coverage is excellent. I don't know what else to say but NEVER ever change or stop making this Clinique.

pros:

I'm on my second bottle of this and will most likely be purchasing the same again when this runs out. I am using shade No 3, which is nothing like the shade shown here on the website and its actually much lighter. My skin shade is fair to medium and this shade No 3 is the first ever shade in any foundation that has suited me, although I did try a beige shade in another range years ago which was better, but, unfortunately it wasn't fragrance free, so I couldn't continue using it. Haven't found a beige shade in any Clinique foundation yet. I prefer to use this with a dab of the D.D oil free moisture gell to give it a bit more slip and this also improves the colour blend for my skin tone as it dilutes it somewhat. Its also one of those products that I cant feel on my face with no heavy feel.

A light tinted moisturiser

pros:

I use shade 01, this product is light in texture, blends easily and gives a very light slightly dewy finish. A little goes along way, I apply this after 3 step and over DDML. So let the DDML settle, and apply moisture surge tinted on top. It's consistency and cover is that of tinted moisturiser, It doesn't have coverage of a foundation - but for me that's the selling point. I have had one bottle for 5months, so although it's pricier than other products, it is very cost effective for a premium product. It's a good all rounder as it is an effective moisturiser too

This is more than a tinted moistuizer. It goes on beautifully, covers really well and my skin feels wonderfully nourished. It lasts for up to 6 hours. I can just touch up with Almost Powder Makeup later. I actually prefer this to full make-up.
