pros:

Personally I prefer the old gentle waterproof mascara. I find this one lies heavy on my eyelashes and, in fact, irritates my eyes sometimes. Also I find taking it off with warm water a real hassle. However, on the plus side it does generally stay put with only the occasional smudge. I haven't tried swimming in it yet and am not convinced it will stay put with serious swimming (ie face in water). Time will tell.

pros:

I've tried so many mascaras in my many years and this is the best ever. I've longed for this tiny brush for so long. It gives the tiniest of lashes brilliant lash power. It doesn't budge through excercise, rain or in the pool. It's great that it comes off easily with warm water but unfortunatley it comes loose with tears. Saying that it comes loose from your lashes but doesn't smudge it simply comes off so can easily be reapplied without having to hunt round for make up remover. For me, the best ever mascara.

pros:

I liked the way this went on and was initially very pleased with the result. No clogging. But after a couple of hours the base of my eyelashes started to itch! So obviously this one is not for me. Shame that we are no longer able to get the old waterproof mascara which applied perfectly and resulted in pretty fluffy lashes with no irritation and which I used for years. Hope its brought back into the range again as it was far superior to any other on the High St.

pros:

honestly, my eyes water constantly so my choice of mascara is limited, every purchase has to be waterproof/ smudge free.i've tried a lot but apart from this, they all smudge, ironic considering the difficulty - and pain - i have removing them.this one comes off in almost little tubes when i wash my face, and it covers all of my lashes in a lovely black (i haven't tried the brown one, brown's not my colour as far as mascara's concerned) glossy colour, and doesn't clump, probably something to do with it's tiny (and precise!) brush.i sound like i'm advertising it but i honestly don't have one bad word to say about this product.love it.oh and it's not rediculously priced either :)

A friend recommended Lash Power to me a couple of years ago. I bought it and I haven't looked back since.I love it because I know it won't smudge and it will last all day. No more panda eyes even on the lower lashes!! I apply it lightly for daywear and apply a few layers for eveningwear. I can even go swimming with it on without the fear of getting out of the pool with two black eyes.It will remain a staple in my make up bag for as long as Clinique make it!

Thought this mascara was great when I put it on and really defined my eyelashes and made them look good. Have to say the mascara did not move an inch during the day but I was really disappointed when I went to remove it. Followed instructions and used warm water and cottonwool pads but the result was a mess! Bits of mascara all around my eyes and black marks that were difficult to shift. Still use it as the effect is good but have gone back to High Impact for next time!!

I have searched and searched for a mascara that isn't half way down my face by 11am! I really suffer with panda eyes and have had to resort to taking cotton buds to work with me to have a clean up a couple of times a day in the past! even though I was using mascaras that claimed to be stay fast and water proof etc....I saw this mascara advertised and thought hummmm could this be the one! my sister then told me she used it and liked it but it was hard to take off at night - so i gave it a whirl - I have used it for about two weeks now and I am impressed. It stays completley put all day with not panda eyes, I dont feel I have to even check my eyes in the mirror now in case I am resembling a panda! If bits flake off generally they are little black specks, that I can deal with. The issue of getting it off - well, it has taken a bit of getting used to - as long as you have the temperature of the water just a bit more than hand hot, probably slightly hotter than I would normally use to wah my face, then it comes off fine (I use a muslin cloth to do it so that I am gentle in the process) - in fact, it's actually quite a thereputic and satisfiy process removing it - but it takes a minute or so, not seconds.....colour good - but I have noticed it is starting to get clumps after just two weeks and wonder how long it will last.....

I have really watery eyes so I was looking for something that isn't going to come off easily and that I knew was good quality...and this is it! The brush is really small so it is able to coat even the smallest lashes. I bought the Dark Chocolate colour and it looks very natural. I love it and it hasn't smudged or smeared yet!

I' ve been through lots of mascaras throughout the years. I think a good mascara is the key to emphasising your eyes. What I really wanted this time was one that not only makes your eye lashes longer but one that stays on without any little black particles coming off and smudging under your eyes. this mascara is pure quality from the moment you take the brush out to apply it to the moment you remove your make up. and no black particles under my eyes for the whole day. very impressed.

Bring back the Gentle Waterproof Mascara!

Very disappointed with this product. I was advised by a Clinique sales adviser that it was a suitable alternative to the gentle waterproof mascara so I purchased it but gave up wearing it after 2 days. I found that the product made my lashes very stiff and uncomforatble. When I came to remove it, it came off in tubes. I would not recommend this to anyone who wants a 'natural soft feel' to their lashes - 'startled spider' is a more appropriate description!

pros:

I have a mature but very oily skin type. Even a waterproof mascare gradually gives me panda eyes throughout the day! When the mascara first came out I was excited and couldnt wait to give it a go. Apparently it was designed for women who live in hot countries, as they have big problems with mascara staying in place due to the heat and or the humidity. I tried the mascara and was pleasently suprised. It actally stayed put. My eyeliner, even though waterproof, still moves, but not my mascara. It is a little odd when its removed but that far outweighs the benefits. I would say give it a go. Did email Clinique and ask about a eyeliner equilivant but as yet that ones not in the pipeline...shame!

Found this product VERY disappointing! OK it stayed on well but taking it off is a nightmare for me! Tried all the different suggestions the consultants provided but still had probs getting rid of the 'black' bits which seemed to get everywhere. PLEASE PLEASE bring back your 'old' waterproof mascara - if other clinque users out there want it reinstated too please tell clinique!!

I discovered this just after it was launched and I will not change. I was even browsing at a rival counter recently and she was explaining her mascaras, she asked what I currently used and said she couldn't compete, my lashes looked lovely!It stays on beautifully, never clumpy, just smooth, long lasting colour. I used to tint my lashes but this has such a natural long lasting effect I don't have to do that anymore. Swimming, tears whatever, it stays put. Also I wear contact lenses and have never had an issue with this mascara.

Natural looking waterproof mascara

Love this mascara because it does exactly what it claims to do. I regularly wear it to the gym, in the sauna, steam room and swimming pool and not a smudge in sight. Can come off in clumps after you wash your face but it's so easy to remove, and means you don't have to bother with eye maker removers. My only criticism is the brush. The formulation is great but will only give you a natural look which is perfect if that's what you want, but if your after a big lashes look I would try the High impact mascara instead. Might try using it with a different brush and see how that goes.

This product is amazing! I pruchased this as I am getting married in Mauritius in October so I needed something that would withstand the humidity and possible tears!I went on a Spar day and so decided to test this out before hand and it is fantastic not only does it make my lashes look longer and more defined but it managed to withstand swimming, Jacquzzi Pool and a Steam Room and not budge!It is also so easy to remove without it smudging over your face!I will definately buy it again and I have already told my family and friends to get some!

I bought this for the first time about two and a half years ago when I was getting married. I love this and the other Clinique mascaras that come off with warm water. I blubbered like a baby throughout my wedding ceremony but my mascara remained in tiptop condition.I wear this one and the High Impact on a day-to-day basis (not at the same time, I hasten to add!). I love the small, easy to use brush which makes the mascara really easy to apply. I love this one if I'm in a rush and it goes on perfectly every time.

pros:

Nice small brush (Clinique - please use for other mascaras!), goes on fine. However, despite claims that only warm water removes it, it partially comes off with my normal 'gentle' makeup remover and what doesn't come off then gradually comes off in flakes overnight which end up sticking to my skin around my eyes. Bits also start flaking off when I swim, presumably due to the water temperature, so if you want a waterproof mascara for indoor pool swimming, this isn't it. Disappointed.

Must have tried every mascara going, from the cheap to the extortionately priced, but I could never find the right one.I have short, fine lashes and this gives excellent, non clumping length and definition. It even defines my almost non existent bottom lashes.It's totally budgeproof, but unlike most waterproof mascaras, which need an oily remover, this one comes off with a saturated (with water!) cotton wool pad! Now I don't have to buy a separate eye make up remover either!Perfect in EVERY way and I will rebuy again and again!
