Currently I am being treated for cancer, chemotherapy, and as such my skin colour is not what it was and I need extra protection from the sun. I have only just started using this product, but it is doing both jobs nicely. It evens out the blemishes without swamping what's left of my natural colour and lasts all day.A good buy.

pros:

I really liked the idea of this product because it protects your skin as well as providing coverage but when I got it I found it was too thick and heavy and made me feel too 'made up' - not for me i'm afraid but good colour, true to the website colour chart and great service from Cliniqe as always. If you are used to wearing a medium to heavy weight foundation you will probably like this product. I think I will try the light weight tinted moisturiser next time I feel like trying a product like this.

A lovely natural finish, almsot weightless and so simple to apply. The packaging is ingenious but the scratchy brush is pretty awful and not up to usual Clinique quality. Would still highly recommend the powder ..just get a decent brush!

Light and Natural Looking

I bought this product as Clinique have stopped making my shade of Clarifying Powder make up & it was recommended by Clinique lady. I hate it!!! I ended up with it all down the front of the top I was wearing & all over the bathroom sink where I was applying it. Coverage was not great either. Wouldn't recommend.

Best Mineral Powder

pros:

I have always struggled with foundation as I have pale skin with redness on my cheeks but I like a light coverage but enough to cover the redness. This gives excellent coverage, as light or heavy as you require. OK you do have to practice to get it right but this makes the least mess of any mineral powders I have tried.Due to my redness I have shied away from blushers but this covers so well I have started using blusher again.Having tried 3 other high range mineral powers this is the best, but yes the brush is rubbish, it went in the bin and I used one I have from a different range

Disappointed

pros:

The saleswoman did an excellent job in store but at home I never achieved the finish she did. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I even went back and brought foundation brush, but coverage is not as good as my usual foundation (Stay Vanilla) and my skin looked tired and dull. At present I've gone back to usual foundation but today I've heard it's being discontinued.

pros:

I used mineral makeup all the time, but never found a foundation that suited me until now. No more tipping powder into lid, i love the funky grater dial,just enough gets dispensed swirl with brush and the coverage is great, leaving my skin subtly covered for a day time look,if you prefer more coverage just twist the dial again.Only con i can think of is brush is not much use so replaced with own. I can see why it has been put in for travelling.A must buy for everyone.

pros:

My usual powder has been discontinued, I have bought 3 different foundations & not found any to my liking, on asking a Clinique adviser I was pursued to purchase this...It is fabulous, easy to apply love the coverage, lasts a large part of the day, feels natural no shiny spots & although others have said the brush is no good I find it excellent, I kinda stab the ground powder with the tip of the brush & apply in 'corners & creases' then swell the brush in circle to polish of, great finish!. The price is slightly step, but I guess the finish is worth it.

pros:

I bought this product after much deliberation, as my skin has been suffering from break outs. As it is so much lighter, it has improved my skin greatly. In the past I have used cheaper make-up to save money, but this has lasted me so much longer as a little goes a long way. It has a lovely smell and the brush is really handy to keep in the pot, in your make-up bag to carry around with you. Other mineral make-ups which I have tried, have been very messy to use and although thi takes a little getting used to, it goes on well and any flyaway powder can easily be blown away without leaving marks on clothing!

I first bought this product as I have problem skin and was recommended to use mineral powder. I love everything about the powder. The ingenious method of taking powder out, the fact that it looks very natural on the skin and last all day. I bought it at the beginning of September and still got some left at the end of January !! I have tried other brand mineral make up without success. Clinique have worked magic-this is superb, wonderful coverage even over red thread veins, and my older skin looked radiant, and fresh and so light i looked like youthful radiant skin. After a full and busy day my skin looked great, no shine or t-zone problem, and fresh as when /i put it on. This is a product I intend NEVER to be without, I am converted thank you Clinique.

I HATE foundations and products that make you look as though you are wearing make up. I equally hate that when I have my photo taken that my forehead and cheeks always look shiny. I have been looking for a product for years that doesn't make me look as though I'm wearing make up but takes away the sheen and evens out my skin tone. This is it! Its so easy to apply. Because I only want very sheer coverage, i only need 1 - 2 turns at the very most. I find it very easy to apply and it lasts all night. I've had a lot of compliments on how perfect my skin looks when I wear it.

I've tried a huge amount of mineral powders and this has to be the best of them all. It feels velvety smooth on the skin and doesn't transfer. Another huge benefit for me is that I'm very pale and the lightest shade looks perfectly natural on me. I have a lot of large pores due to oily skin and it minimises them as well.Loving the fact that you have to turn the dial to get the powder, meaning that it's fresh and hygienic every single application, and even the tiny brush supplied does a decent job.If Clinique discontinue this product, I think I'll cry!

pros:

I'm on my second pot of this now - it lasts for ages, and I love the packaging. The way you twist to release the powder means you don't waste any, and it's really hygenic.It's goes on so easily, and it's like it's barely there. It really evens out my skin tone, and even if I don't have the time (or the inclination) to do a full face of make-up, a quick layer of this stops me worrying about any blotchy or red areas.I wouldn't use another powder now.

Having lived with blemish prone combination skin for the last 20 years I had all but given up finding a foundation which didn't exacerbate the problem. The Superbalanced Powder Make-Up provides natural coverage with a matte finish and shine control which lasts through an busy shift in A&E. The saleswoman did a fairly decent job in the store, but she only applied it lightly so I thought I'd do a better job at home. It doesnt cover anything n my skin is not really good, I have some acne n scars. The more I applied, the heavier it looked and it didnt match my skin. I was recommended this today from the SA at the Clinique counter, having asked for something that was lightweight, wouldn't clog my pores and would stay on for quite a while. When she applied it to my face it calmed the redness of my rosy cheeks and made my spots less noticeable. Although I've only had this for two hours, I love it! The best thing is you only need a small amount to virtually cover your face and there is quite a lot in the pot. I love the brush that comes with it (anti-bacterial brush) and that you can 'grate' off as much powder as you want which is really useful. Another great product from Clinique!

pros:

I love mineral powder foundations, and would never go back to liquid foundation since trying them especially as my skin can be quite oily! This is the best mineral powder i have tried, the colours are extremely natural, i use Natural 2 at the minute as its winter and i'm paler, but in summer i think i'll try natural 4.The foundation is so great because of the natural finish it gives, you can put on just a skiff of this and looks as if you are wearing no makeup, yet it covers EVERY blemish and every patch of redness effortlessly, build on another layer for a slightly more made up look. This makeup also stays on for at least 6 hours straight without having to touch up, even on a night out clubbing!! Its just brilliant! I have a very oily t-zone aswell and this powder keeps my skin mattified and oil free all day or all night! I will defiantly be buying this powder again!

This powder is fabulous. Lovely texture - goes on well and stays where you put it. I would buy a lighter shade next time and mix the two to get a lighter shade for "winter skin".
