Moisture surge is quite frankly the best product that Clinique have ever produced!I have very dry problem skin and can honestly say that nothing ever provided me with true skin hydration until I found this product.I apply it before I put on my foundation and it is so light that you can even give yourself a moisture boost during the day by applying it over your foundation ... without losing any coverage!I LOVE Moisture surge and cannot live without it, the upgraded version is just as good as the original too.

I suffer with acne and have been taking antibiotics for the last 6 months. I was advised by a Clinique consultant to put the moisture and hydration back into my skin. I was given a demonstration and within seconds the gel had been absorbed and some of the redness i had in my face had reduced slightly. I bought a jar of this gel and over the last 2 months of using it my skin feels much better and my acne has reduced. My skin feels back to normal and by using this gel and the mild soap twice a day my skin has never been better! I am so pleased.

I have combination skin and often suffer from tight and uncomfortable skin in my cheeks and eye area, and greasy skin on my nose, chin and forehead. Most creams either make me greasy as they are too rich, or do not satisfy the moisture needs of my cheeks as they are too oil absorbing. This moisturiser makes me skin feel fantastic... when I put it on it is like my skin is breathing a sigh of relief! your skin feels soft, very comfortable, glowing and simply great!!! Maybe if you have very greasy skin and live in a warm climate you might need something for your t-zone during the day, but all in all, if you are looking for the most comfortable skin you have ever felt, try this cream!

This product has a lot of 5 star reviews but I didn't think it lived up to the hype. I have dry skin and work in an air conditioned office so wanted something to help keep my skin hydrated all day. This does feel fantastic when it first goes onto your skin but didn't think it hydrated any longer or better than the Dramatically Different moisturising lotion. I won't buy this again when my current pot runs out.

During a skin consultation in store, I explained to the most helpful consultant that as I have combination skin, any bit of oil on my face breaks me out in blemishes and any bit of dryness exaggerates! After looking at my skin more thoroughly, she said my skin was actually de-hydrated, so she suggested I use this oil free gel more rather than my dramatically different moisturiser in problem areas. This is because the little bit of oil I was getting from dramatically different was playing havoc with my face and I needed more hydration. This product is amazing! I have stopped using dramatically different altogether as my skin is so much more comfortable with this. I have no oil as this is an oil-free product, and the dryness is gone from all the extra hyrdration I'm getting! I could not be happier with this product! my skin is improving and my confidence is back :)

This is an amazing product. I have normal to dry skin which does become drier in the autumn and winter months due to central heating and cold/wind exposure. This immediately reduces the appearance of dry skin and makes it disappear quickly. It can be worn over make up. I keep a sample in my handbag so that I have access to it immediately. I tend to apply at night if skin is dry or itchy, but during the day too as needed. Expensive but lasts a long time and is a truly wonderful product so well worth the money.

I got a free 30ml tub of this recently in the Clinique offer and had never really thought about using a moisturiser until now. I thought my dramatically different moisture gel from my 3-step would be enough. Oh how wrong I was. A little bit of this goes a long way and I have never felt my skin as soft as it is now. I use this after my 3-step as an added boost to my skins daily routine and I don't think I will ever look back! Best trail product I have ever received, once it has run out I am going to buy more!

In my search for the perfect moisturiser I came across the Clinique Moisture Surge. Having a combination skin with oily forehead and nose but dry cheeks I don't need a very rich moisturiser. It is more about balancing the two types of my skin and making my face look fresh and hydrated. I must say I had my hopes up high with the Moisture Surge but the disappointment has been huge. The moisturiser feels nice immediately after the application but it does not last very long, skin dehydrates very quickly. So the claim about the hydration lasting up to 12 hours is rubbish. If you want to have your skin moisturised all day long, you have re-apply the cream every half an hour or so. Considering the price it really is not worth the hassle. I normally buy expensive cosmetics with knowledge that, despite of the price, it will last me a few months, this one, has gone after three weeks. Maybe I will re-visit this product during hot months but for now, I have to keep looking for something better.

I ended up using this cream for a mid day moisture top up, rather than a first thing in the morning intense "moisture surge" When purchasing this i got a free mini bottle of Dramatically Different moisturiser. this is my favourite hydration cream ever. I've tried lots of others but I always come back to this one. My skin just drinks it up and feels so much better for it. I use Superdefense or Youth Surge over the top for protection during the day. I wish it was cheaper as I can easily get through gallons of the stuff, but end up buying cheaper versions in between Clinique shopping sprees, and they are nowhere near as good or as nice feeling. Please do me a jumbo pot really cheap!! I may try the new intense one next time.

With regret, I must admit to extreme disappointment in this product - whilst beautifully textured and easy to apply, it does absolutely nothing to hydrate this 46 year old's skin, despite lavish application. Might be a good product for a 20 year old with oily/combination skin.

pros:

I love this product! My skin used to be dry and flaky and lined (from dryness) before I began using it. Using make-up made the problem even worse! My face also used to feel very tight after washing.After using this product my skin is great! Most moisturisers left me feeling greasy but this did not. I use it twice a day and my skin is so much more hydrated. My face no longer feels horrible after washing and I have the confidence to even go without make-up some days! I would definately recommend this product as it is the only one i've tried that WORKS. I love it so much I've just ordered my second pot!! :)

pros:

Luckily I got this as a tester as would be very upset if bought it. I was expecting deep nourishment of my skin but unfortunatly it felt like this cream has created a sticky layer on my skin without actually moisturising it. It left my skin dry, tight and sticky.

pros:

I love Clinique but I really don't think this is that great a product. Initially this worked really well on my dry/combination skin but after a week or so of continuous use my skin started to feel quite tight and tingly after I used this. The gel texture is lovely and light. It feels cooling on the skin and sinks in quickly which is great, but I feel it just doesn't provide enough moisture. I managed to use mine up by using it as a luxury face mask, in a thick layer whilst I was lying in the bath and found out this worked much better!

pros:

I have purchased many of cliniques products,as well as benefitting from many of the promotional free samples sent with postal orders.Had purchased my first jar,and having used it religiously with cliniques other skin care products noticed no real change as far as the properties highlighted on packaging etc.One is now half was down my second jar,and to be honest i wont be purchasing a third jar as i feel this product rather expensive for the results it does not produce.

Flaky result

Every time I have used this, after the 123 step, it has resulted in my face looking like I have some sort of skin problem. The product has sat on my face in the form of flakes after about 20 mins after applying it. When I have then moved the palm of my hand over my face, the product has just flaked off!Not great!

pros:

I use this in a thickish layer as a mask after using turnaround instant facial and the combination is divine! My skin is noticeably improved - clearer, brighter, more even and my old acne scars are fading nicely. It feels great too - soft and smooth. I like the texture of this as it feels light and non greasy, quite refreshing, but definitely moisturising. It seems to last pretty well too.

pros:

I started using this product about three years ago after I got a free sample and I have remained very loyal to it! I found it to be better at clearing my blemishes than the anti blemish moisturiser.The texture is light, despite looking like quite a heavy moisturiser. As soon as it goes on it get absorbed by the skin and leaves a very soft texture.I particularly like to use it at night and I tend to wake up with very soft skin. Great product- a must buy!

I got this as a free tester as I had tried the intense cream but my skin didn't particularly get on with it so I thought I'd try the moisture surge. And I am so glad I did! This has revolutionised my face! My skin feels silky smooth, no more dry patches and tightness. My make up goes on smoothly and I can't believe how well this moisturiser works for me. Thanks Clinique and I have also purchased the 3 step for type 1, which is also fantastic!

this product is great. It feels really cooling when applied and gives long lating moisture to the face. I tend to use in in a morning under make up. I suffer from dermatitis on my face and around. Also have extensive allergies. My skin was sore, red and flaky, was starting to ruin my life. NHS dermatologist recommended creams were not working and was really beginning to despair. Clinique advisor recommended this cream and WOW! After 2 days of applying morning and night the difference is mind blowing. My skin is so smooth, no flaky patches and more important not sore or angry looking. I can't thank Clinique enough!

In the end of March 2013 my skin started to look awful: flaky, uncomfortable with some dry patches. My make-up looked all caked up in the afternoon. I must admit I was desperate. After some research on the net I decided to buy the Clinique���s Moisture Surge. Applied it before bed and oh, dear, couldn���t believe my eyes when I looked in the mirror. My skin looked so much better! After 2 weeks I even got rid of all my fine lines and ��� what I thought were ��� my first wrinkles. So happy I bought it! The only downside probably is that it needs some time to be fully absorbed so in the morning before applying make-up I use a liquid moisturizer instead.

pros:

I have real problem skin, it has always been dry and I suffer with acne, and I have tried many different moisturisers. This is honestly the best I've used and I've been using it for 6 weeks now. I use it morning and night and my skin is now so soft and smooth, I've had the occasional spot here and there but it's really cleared up. It's lightweight, not greasy and a little goes a long way, and my face immediately feels rehydrated whereas with other moisturisers my skin has still felt dry immediately after application. This moisturiser is not cheap but I think it's worth the money :)
