As makeup artists everywhere
understand, the makeup essential for
a perfect, flawless 'canvas' is powder.
On this season's catwalks, matte is the
major makeup fashion story. In place
of dewiness, complexions are satin-smooth - the perfect contrast for pink or
red matte lips, and dark, smoky eyes.
Clinique, of course, know all about skin. And everything Clinique know about skin care goes into their powders. Using state-of-the-art milling technology, Clinique?s signature powders are light as- air and ultra-fine so they always look natural and never chalky on your complexion.
What's more, Clinique's powder creations feel totally comfortable and weightless - never drying or 'cake-y' so you won't feel them. You won't even see them when you look in the mirror - because what you'll see is simply a more flawless, fabulous finish. (And of course, because they're Clinique, they're 100% allergy tested and fragrance free.)
Matched to your skin's needs (and chosen for the finish you want), powder does much more than simply help defy shine. The right powder can help you achieve radiance, minimise the appearance of pores or even out skin tone. Not sure which powder is right for you? Our Quick Powder Guide will steer you in the right direction. So whether your powder's loose or pressed, matte or luminous, this is powder's finest hour.
A Perfect Powder Finish Is At Your Fingertips.
Using a fluffy powder brush like Clinique's NEW Powder Foundation Brush is an ideal way, to whisk pressed powder onto skin, giving a flawless, even application. Clinique's makeup pros have also developed an easy way to apply loose powders such as Blended Face Powder. It's known to insiders as 'The Powder Rub-down' and once you've tried it, we know you'll just love it...
Apply your regular foundation.
Tip a little of your chosen powder into the palm of your hand.
Rub your palms together.
Cup your palms and lower your face into them, almost 'washing' the face from hairline to chin and gently pressing fingertips onto face for even application. (For smaller areas of application, use two to three fingers to rub and warm powder in the palm of one hand, before transferring to face.)
Brush off excess.
