I have dry skin and this foundation suites me best. It is light, covers well and stays all day. I use it together with yellow loose powder in the morning and correct with pressed yellow powder during day and there is no sign of redness.

This foundation is definitely worth buying if you're after something to calm down your skin. Personally I don't have very sensitive or irritated skin but bought this foundation to reduce my skin's natural red patches and blotchiness - the results were great! my skin still looks natural and not yellowy like other foundations made it look but the unfortunate natural redness is gone!

I have recently tried this foundation for the first time and it is by far the best foundation I have ever used. I have been using Clinique Foundation for a few years and when I went in to get my usual Foundation they were out of stock and the lady suggested I try this new 'Redness Solution' one in shade 3. I was amazed at how totally it covered my 'Beetroot' face' and not only covered it, but stayed fast all day with no touching up. People who see me without make up now (rarely!) can't believe I have such a red face naturally because it is usually so well hidden with this foundation. I'm converted!

This is the best make up product I have ever bought - I've tried so many foundations, and none have ever managed to successfully cover the red patches I suffer from on my cheeks without looking caked on and heavy, but this does the job brilliantly. I use the correcter first then apply the foundation on top, and it blends so perfectly, it gives a truly flawless finish and looks AMAZING! It stays so well too - if I put my make up on at 8am, it still looks great at 9pm even without any touching up during the day. I only need to use a little as well, so it's great value. I can't recommend this product enough - if you suffer from redness then BUY IT - it's absolutely the best coverage on the market.

pros:

Over the years I've tried everything in an effort to deal with my somewhat rosy/blotchy complexion. My skin is mega sensitive, and most products just made my skin worse. I tried this, in a last ditch attempt to find a solution, and what do you know ???? It works! Not only does it work (in as much as it disguises redness superbly!) but I don't appear to be super-sensitive to it either! Hurrah! Even my 3 year old said my face was 'lovely, Mummy'. I'm a convert.

A Fantastic Product! Really Works!

I have been using the Clinique Redness Solutions range since July 2010 (See my other review of the Redness Solutions Daily Relief Cream). This foundation is fab! It gives good coverage without clogging pores. It covers any redness and spots with ease and really soothes the skin.I would recommend this foundation to anyone suffering from any form of redness. My acne rosacea has completely disappeared since using the redness solutions regime! With continued use ove time redness and spots are eradicated and skin becomes smoother!I have now been using the foundation for 2 months and I have to say its the best!Many thanks again Clinique for skincare which actuallly works and is affordable too!

pros:

This is a really great foundation! It's feels extremely light, it certainly reduces redness, and I'm pretty sure it actually helps skin - I suffer from acne and I think this stuff helps - it certainly doesn't make it any worse! This stuff is really great, the only thing that would be good is if it was a bit fuller cover, as this is quite sheer. For normal skin it's probably fine, but for acne suffers you need to put on at least two layers. Now, don't be put off, it's still really good, you just might need a little bit of concealer as well afterwards. If they could just make this that bit fuller coverage whilst still retaining its light feel and helpful properties it would be amazing!Ps. The colors are good, but if you have really light skin the alabaster's your only hope and even then it might not be light enough. Colours on their own work great but mixing doesn't work as well for some reason!

I think i should start off by saying that in my opinion, there's nothing 'wrong' with this product, i just don't think it's that great. The coverage was ok, but i felt that my skin looked a little dull only a few hours after applying it.I tried a bit of my friends 'other make' foundation the other day, and it's amazing; the finish is stunning. My skin actually felt, and looked better with that, than this one from Clinique. It also happened to be more than half the price too! So it just shows you.Having said that, i don't think that Clinique's stuff is over priced in any way. I suppose i just expected a little more from this product.I've actually wondered if the 'redness solutions' title is just a gimmick? As it didn't appear to help/benefit my skin in any way whatsoever.

pros:

I suffer from rosacea and was recommended to use a makeup that also provides skin care, therefore I chose Clinique! I wasn't too sure about the make-up when the girl at the counter tried it on me, I thought it was too shinny but It seemed to cover my redness really well so I bought it anyway! I have been using it everyday day now for a week and it gives fantastic coverage - very natural and lasts all day. It isn't oily and doesn't look shinny when you apply some powder or bronzer on top. I even think it has calmed my skin down a lot! I would highly recommend this.

Not as good as I hoped

pros:

I have sensitive fair skin with very large pores. I also have really pink/red undertones. Most foundation, which does not irritate, ends up drying out my skin. I hoped this would be the trick. Sadly it is not. I tried it for a few days and am unimpressed. It did not reduce the redness in my skin. My skin looked shiny around my nose, yet flakey/caked on and dry along my cheeks. It also seemed to come off really easily (even with a cover of powder). I had to retouch several times throughout my work day. Not to mention I had my skin coloured matched before I bought it and I think the colour is way too dark (03). The lady said it was the best match but I think (01) would have been a better match. I will not be buying this product again. Mad at myself, as I normally request a sample before I buy. I will definitely be doing this before I buy anymore.

pros:

I'm 42 and since I was 16 my face has been caked in make up in an attempt to cover my rosy cheeks. Now for the first time I can cover my red face and still have a dewy finish on my skin.Not only that I took a very bad reaction to something recently and my eyes became extremely intolerant to everything: contact lenses, mascara, fondation, eye cream, you name it. I've slowly been introducting products again after a 6 month self imposed ban, and this in the only foundation I can put anywhere near my eyes. Can't praise this product enough. If you have dry, red, sensitive skin this is the foundation for you.

I having been searching for many years for something to cover my bright red cheeks and nose which appear when I'm hot, embarrassed or at the slightest hint of an alcoholic drink. With my wedding looming I was growing more concerned about looking like a beetroot - then I discovered the redness range from Clinique. I cannot rave about this enough. After leaving the hairdresser I was absolutely scarlet. This amazing foundation, and then the pressed powder, completely disguised my redness - I applied it at 4pm and I was still a 'normal' colour at 3am - I am truly astounded and completely delighted!

I drink very little alcohol but developed a red nose and cheeks associated with heavy drinking. I was ashamed to go out until I discovered this product.It completely covers the redness and has given me back my self confidence. I highly recommend this product to anyone suffering as I did.

The miracle foundation

I have recently visited a shop in Poland with a view to finding a foundation that looks and feels natural and not make my skin look caked up and orange. I have suffered with viens and redness on my face for sometime now and never thought I would find anything that looked and felt good.I was given a sample of this product Colour No.3, I did not try it in the shop but waited until I got home. What an amazing product I put it on and it was light to touch, non greasy which is an absolute bonus. The coverage was unbelievable - I am hooked I am going there tomorrow to by a full bottle. It is worth every penny and them some. Anybody thinking of taking the plunge I would say GO FOR IT!!!!!

I suffer from rosacea and have changed to this foundation from Clinique's Even Better range. I would really like to stress that this foundation is excellent in colour/coverage/texture/durability! I'm 32, and have a slightly oily t-zone, along with red blotchy skin on my cheeks.I have tried SO many foundations that look great when I apply them, but by midday, my complexion looks awful again.I bought this after reading a review in a magazine, and I have to say that I am SO impressed, and can get through a whole day at work with my face still looking smooth rather than blotchy!

pros:

This is a brilliant foundation. I have a very pink/red skin tone and this foundation not only cools down any pink I have in my skin, it also makes my skin look so healthy and natural. You need the tiniest amount - pea sized is far too much for me. I do find that it only lasts until about half way through the day before I need to reapply. Anyone with any redness in their skin should definitely try this - it's just perfect!

I love this foundation and cant imagine using a different one! I've always had a red face throughout school and i needed something for when I started college and I was recommended this by a clinique worker and its worked well! It doesn't completely hide my redness you can still see it a little through the foundation but its not a big issue. The only complaint I have about it is that the lighter shade is slightly too dark for me but I wont stop using this foundation.

I am extremely disappointed with this purchase. It was so expensive, but worth it I thought if it did what it said. However it did not and I am really angry, not only was it a poor foundation with poor coverage, but it did not have any impact on redness whatsoever.All I got was continued redness combined with a green glow which made me look ill. Don't be fooled into buying this product!

I was a bit dubious with this product, but I thought I'd give it a go. I suffer from terrible rednesss of the face, like I have a constant blushing problem. This product is fantastic, I use it with the redness solutions daily protective base. Give it a try, I also brush it on my face, so you use very little.

I've had rosacea for 14 years and I've tried tons of brands of foundations during that time. I decided to try this after being impressed by the reviews as well as the product being specifically for redness. I've been using it for around 3 months now. It covers the redness but still looks natural. I was previously using another brand's foundation which covered my redness but looked very cakey and I felt self-conscious about my foundation being so obvious. But Clinique's Redness Solutions covers it so well but still manages to look like MY skin. I have a couple of beauty spots which can still be seen through the foundation but the redness cannot. I love it. I'm pale and use Calming Alabaster, which is just about suitable for me as long as I wear a very fair powder over the top. I would give this 5 stars if a better variety of shades were available.

pros:

I found this a good match for my skin colour and noticed a reduction in redness immediately. Alas the redness won through within a couple of hours.I invested in a few redness solutions items and find that, even when used all together, they don't reduce or cover my flushed cheeks.Sadly it isn't working for me but I will continue to use these products in the hope that my skin will calm down eventually. I would still recommend others to give it a try though.
