I bought this after trying a free sample in my Sunday Magazine. I can honestly say that it does exactly as its name suggests, stays matte and prevents any breakthrough of oil. This is the first foundation I have ever used that achieves this. My lovely Clinique consultant matched the perfect shade for my complexion so all in all in all I am a very happy girl. I have a seriously oily t-zone and this product has liberated me from constant blotting and applying loose powder throughout the day. I love it!!

I have the oiliest skin ever and i really struggle to keep it under control! Im so happy with this foundation (this is only day 3 but its so hot today and its still stayed matte) Its quite hard to apply with the brush as it goes streaky (unsure if it would dry differrnt tho) Another thing i would say is I always apply a powder ontop of my foundation but i really dont think you need it with this foundation! Very impressed!

I was very excited to buy this product based on other reviews I read but unfortunately it hasn't been the miracle product for me. I love Clinique skincare but have never bought the make up before and I found that despite the name "stay matte" I found my face became shiny quite quickly (within 1-2 hours). That said, I live in a hot country and I do have naturally oily skin anyway.

I bought this yesterday at a Clinique counter, after noticing it on the website. The colours are really good, not so pink this time which I find with Clinique's other foundations. This foundation is long wearing and does stay put even on my oily skin when I'm buzzing around all day. I love it, thank you Clinique!

What a horrible foundation!!! My main concern is really oily skin, so after being with Clinique for 4years I decided to go for this one. After 3 days of using it my pores were completely clogged and it gave me spots all over my face. It went to bin straight away. Do not bother buying it, you'll regret it.

purchased this foundation with high hopes, however sadly it didnt work for me after a couple of hours my face was shinny and didnt look like i was wearing any foundation,use three step,and have for many uears, but unfortunatly this foundation didnt work for me.Clinique did refund me with no quibbles, that was impressive.

I have oily skin and have been waiting for a good foundation for oily skins from clinique for a while. Unfortunately this is definitely not it. I found that it doesn't go on to skin very well and definitely doesn't control oil or absorb shine, in fact I found that my skin felt oily within 30 minutes. I won't be using it again and won't be recommending it to anyone.

This foundation, when first applied, makes a very matte and even base. Very light weight and smells lovely (banana?), with a natural and even finish. There is some coverage, but as it says on the packaging; moderate.Although there is truth in previous reviews about eventual shine- the foundation is unfinished without powder.For this reason I liked this particular foundation, as when teamed with Clinique's 'Superbalanced powder Makeup SPF 15', it looked little short from perfect. Shine only arrived toward lunch time, and it was a very humid and hot week. A touch up with the powder solved this.

I was a little bit disappointed with this foundation. I was expecting something fantastic and it didnt live up to the hype. This foundation should be perfect for me being a type 4 / anti blemish and my skin doesnt hold makeup well in any weather but it is worse during the summer. It came off my t'zone completely and was shinier quicker than normal?! The colours are a tad strange. I was given 2 samples to try linen and alabaster. The tones seem to be very yellow and I am pinky. I know people moan about the anti blemish foundation going orange but if you buy the right shade this doesnt happen. Anti Blemish is still the best for oily skin but if you are a type 2/3 then this should be ok.

This is the best foundation I have ever used and I have tried a lot. It goes on very smoothly, covers any imperfections without that over made up look, feels extremely comfortable and lasts throughout the day. At last I have found the perfect foundation for me.

I've been using this foundation for a little while and I must say I am happy with it. It dose what it says on the tin to be fair. I have type 3 skin and find my nose still seems oily throughout the day so I have teamed the foundation with a good primer and the Stay Matte powder. I do find that the foundation is quite yellowie but if you only use a tiny bit and you make sure you get colour matched it looks fab! All it all it's perfect for people with type 1-3 skin who only need a little bit of coverage,

This foundation is just perfect for me. I seem to have a combination skin (type 3) with an ever oily T-Zone.I must say i apply this on my face with a foundation brush and it glides smoothly and makes my face look airbrushed but not to the extreme.I wear it all day long although I do blot a bit once a while but at the end of the day, it gives that dewy look which i personally like rather that the oily mess some other foundations do.I do have golden undertones and as such don't see any problem with this as other reviewers say its yellow-based.I think if you get a perfect match to your skin, you'll love this product.PS: I use a mattifying day cream as a base before applying this as I think it is wise to moisturize before applying makeup to the face.Thank You Clinique! You just gained another loyal customer.

FANTASTIC FOUNDATION! It can be used with a foundation brush! Stays put all day! I would reccomend do use a loose powder over the top! I have fallen in love with this product! Although this is a matte foundation it makes the skin look fresh nd healthy even with powder worn over the top! I have reccomended this to my sister in law and my sister and they love it too! Buy this product so Clinique won't discontinue it!

I am a woman of colour, a youthful looking 41 year old. As I've got older dark circles have appeared around my eyes. I also have some scarring and uneven skin tone. I've used many products in the past; the cheap to expensive but clinique has got to be the best!The coverage is flawless without looking (as my husband would say) painted or feeling caked up, I'm not worried about touching my face or make-up transfer. The colour match is brilliant, again the best I've come across and although matte, it does not look grey on my skin which has had a tendency to look dull. Applied with a brush, not too much product needed, finished off with a powder.Although I only have a winter experience of this product, it has held up well. By the end of the day I did have a healthy glow but it was not necessary to dab with tissue (which was becoming a habit) or apply additional powder and the coverage was still all there.My only regret is that I did not come across it sooner.

I went to a well known department store on Oxford Street (London) and enquired about the new total cover foundations. I explained that one of my missions was to eliminate shine and so I was recommended this product by the sales lady. We tried it and I bought it. Four days on I am still using it and think it is great. There is no shine at the end of the day and very pleased with coverage etc. It handles the tube journeys to and from work brilliantly. I use a foundation brush but don't overload my face. I'm almost 36 and use 3-step number 2.

I have tried a number of Clinique foundations recently, and I think this is my favourite one. It gives a very sheer natural finish and doesn't look too matt. The online beautician was really helpful in helping me to choose the correct shade for my skin tone.A word of warning though, it doesn't cover spots very well, if that's your concern try the anti blemish foundation or use with a concealer. That's why I have only given four stars.
