I can only describe my skin as a problem. I have tried many very expensive skin care products and Clinique is by far the best. I have had acne for at least 10 years and I had finally had a enough of it when I decided to try Clinique's products. Clinique has been amazing and a good oil free make up was essential to cover up the few blemishes and small spots that I have to deal with while my skin heals.I am so happy with this make up as it allows me to go on with my day to day business with a feeling of confidence. I don't have that horrid tingly feeling that my usual make up used to give me as it would really aggravate my skin. My skin feels soothed and protected. I could not live without this makeup now!!

I get really good comments on my skin and although I do take care of it I think it's a lot down to this makeup - so easy to use, even for me who is definitely not a morning person! It makes you look fresh and alert, a definite bonus! Would recommend to anyone

I have struggled for years buying cheap foundations and never finding the right one and always ending up with a majorly shiny face! So I went along to the Clinique counter and they suggested this and I absolutely love it, its really got rid of my shiny forehead and nose and is even better when used with a powder. Overall great product, and you dont need to use a lot.

This is the only foundation I will ever wear! Been wearing it since I was 16 when my mum told me to wear 'decent make up'Got the shade matched and its perfect. Its not really obvious that youre wearing foundation unlike some others which are thick and hard to find the right shade for your skin tone but I wont go out the house without this foundation on!Really easy to blend and doesnt leave a line around your chin and face like youre wearing a mask!The bottle lasts me around 6 months and I use it nearly every day which I think is really good value for money.Defo recommend to anyone, great product.

I remember making my way through a bottle of this back in about 1997 before i was introduced to the sublimely perfect Clarifying Make Up to which I have been addicted ever since. Back then Superbalanced just couldn't really cope with my oily/combi skin which was why I was then hunting to find a better option. With Clarifying Makeup withdrawn here years ago, and now withdrawn from the US from where I was getting my supplies I have been on that annoying hunt to find a replacement , and so have revisted Superbalanced once again. My skin is 13 yrs older - so is drier in places, but still suffers from a very oily T-zone, and this cannot really cope with either of those issues. It clearly sinks into lines in the drier areas, and into pores in the oilier areas, leaving the latter decidedly shiny, so it isn't actually balancing anything at all for me. (Clarifying kept my skin spot free as well as making it look flawless and hydrated and youthful and plump on the drier areas - so this isn't a match for that at all). The other issue is the colour pallette. Back in 1997 the coloir I used was called something like 'ivory beige' maybe? Anyway it was a perfect pale neutral. The new pale Alabaster is too dark and too peachy on me and makes me look very notcieably made up. I realise that Clinique are probably not going to answer my prayers and re-launch Clarifying Make Up..which is a huge shame..so I will have to continue my trawl to find something which can work for older combi/oily skin and still look youthful, fresh and pretty and last all day long. Superbalanced I suspect is better for for combi/dry skins which haven't yet reached 40..I can see it working for that customer..but it just doesn't look good on me :(

i brought this as it was oil free and non comodegenic so great for those prone to acne (likeme) as it does not clog pores. it does the job! my cheeks (where i mainly use it) stay clear! the only downside is its a little greasy for me and results in me having to use pressed powder as i prefer the matte look to dewy.

I started using this foundation after the Superbalanced Compact was discontinued. I found the replacement Superbalanced Mineral just didn't work for me and had to switch to a full liquid product.This one works well, provides a good level of coverage without feeling claggy - it's buildable too. For everday wear I find you only need a little bit to get a nice even look and a light dusting of the Blended Face Powder gives a lovely matte finish.

After recently deciding to branch out and try other foundations I must say it has opened my eyes to how wonderful this foundation is. I recently tried two others and not only did they make me break out but the coverage made me look quite cakey throughout the day and not one of them catered to my skin tone. Thank you Clinique for creating a light weight foundation with good coverage and one that blends in nicely with my skin tone. I find that this foundation is also good for giving your skin a dewy appearance. All in all I love it. :)

I am a typical english rose basically extremely pale the shades in this foundation do NOT go light enough, alabaster is supposed to be "lightest" shade but even this is too dark!! I will clinique would bring out foundations to suit pale skins?I found the foundation to be greasy and oily (i am skin type 2/3). Didn't work for me the worst £21 pound ever spent!I love Clinique don't get me wrong i am a clinique junkie but very disappointed in this foundation!

I've found my perfect foundation

I've finally found my perfect foundation, aged 30! I've always struggled (like most people probably) to find foundation which suits my skin colour and type. I'm a very pale 'English Rose' with some areas of uneven skintone and combination skin, plus I don't like anything that is too mask-like. I have this in 'Alabaster', the colour is perfect, it goes on smoothly and blends well. It lasts all day and doesn't 'slip off' my t-zone like some foundations, and is nice and comfortable on drier areas. I'd suggest going into a store to get some help to find the perfect colour.Now I've found it, I hope Clinique never discontinues it!

Really works to prevent shine & oily T-Zone!!

I've always had a problem looking for the perfect foundation which has great coverage on the T-Zone area. I have Beige Chiffon (36) and it really does what it says on the tin. It doesnt make my T-Zone seem oily and whilst wearing it my skin is nice and smooth, also appears healthy and not as dull. Although the coverage isn't as well as I thought it would be..but still has good coverage just not full coverage. The bottle is suprisingly bigger than I first thought..think it will last at least 6 months and at a price of £21.00 I think is a bargain for Clinique. Will definatly purchase this product again. I strongly recommend this product to anyone who has a oily T-Zone or generally oily skin!

I was given a sample of Superbalance Light No 28 but I did not think it was a good coverage and did not suit my dry skin I miss Dewy Smooth Managed to get my sister to bring me some from Australia but it has now been discontinued thereI have also tried Tinted Moisture Surge but the colour was not good and felt much heavier than Dewy Smooth Can anyone suggest anything like Dewy Smooth

I've tried many foundations before and this has to be the best foundation I have ever used in this price range. The foundation feels so velvety while applying and once it was on my skin I felt extremely healthy as though I had no foundation on at all but the coverage was still amazing, I looked like I had perfect skin. I only had to apply it in the morning and it lasted all day with no wearing, I was getting so many compliments from morning to night. This foundation is more than worth the money and I'd urge anyone to buy it however I'd recommend getting a colour match at a department store for the perfect colour as there is so many to choose from, I was Alabaster and I would have never have known.

I was originally colour matched for Superfit and found the sample I was given worked very well for my skin type. It's very oily and foundation usually just slides off my face within an hour of application. When I went back to the store to purchase the full size foundation I was disappointed to discover that Clinique were having problems with one of the ingredients. For 2 months I was told the product would be back on shelves "soon". I eventually gave up and was told by a lady in a well known department store that Superbalanced would be a great alternative for my skin. Not so!!! The foundation is completely the wrong formula for very oily skin, particularly as I work in rather hot conditions and am constantly on the go. I have since found that another brand of foundation is wonderful on my skin so on this occasion, Clinique comes last place.

pros:

Such a great product. I wear it everyday with the Superbalance pressed powder the only thing I hate is the make and shape of the bottle. You can never truly get all the contents out, which means I never get to actually finish the bottle. Clinique really need to address this. Maybe a pump or a squeeze bottle!!!

Following the online foundation guide, this was the optimum shade and foundation for my coloring and skin type.The color is a good match and it does blend well with good coverage - you only need a very small amount.It is also good when mixed with a little moisturizer for an even lighter coverage.

I'm an avid clinique user and was recommended superbalanced for my oiler skin. However I found that it doesnt give enough coverage and after a day at work it will have almost all rubbed off. I'm not convinced about this for skin type 3 and oiler. But that could just be me.

pros:

This foundation is available in a decent range of colours and tones, including ones for very fair skin like mine. It gives a natural finish and provides goods coverage, helping to even out my skintone. Superbalanced has never been the culprit of breakouts and hasn't caused any reactions. However, it does have a rather oily texture for a product designed for combination skin and my T-zone does not stay matte unless I layer powder over the top. I have given it a 3 as I don't find that the claim that it 'absorbs oil where needed' lives up to its name.

pros:

I always find myself going back to this product. I find it great for my combination skin. It doesn't dry out my dry areas and keeps oil under control for most of the day - however I do find I need the occasional touch up with powder! I have this in shade ivory which matches my skin tone really well. The coverage is very natural and quite light but its buildable. Only downside is the bottle, you have to pour the product out and I find I sometimes end up with too much!

Since first using this product over 3 years ago I have never gone back. It last for ages as you only need to apply a small amount for full coverage. It gives you a great, natural look, and unlike other heavy foundations, it lets your skin breath. Definitely worth £20!!! :)

I have been using clinique foundations since i was 17, on recommendation from my boss at the time as her skin all ways looked flawless, I am now 40 and still a fan I have foolishly wandered and tried other foundations only to bin them a few days later and go buy clinique .... My skin is sensitive and dry but I get no reaction off clinique and perfect coverage and don't seem to use so much foundation. i now wont be withought it!

Consistency wise, great! Not too light, not too heavy. The coverage was good, and it covered imperfections easily, leaving my skin looking natural yet almost airbrushed. The colour was perfect, and it lasted easily all day, with only one touch-up at lunchtime, but out of habit, not necessity. My only disappointment with this foundation was the lack of a pump, but this is easily remedied with cotton buds.
