I can see this being a hit with young oily skins, but if you are mature (ie late 40's) and still suffering quite oily but combination skin then this isn't so good at all.I think it was supposed to replace the very perfect Clarifying Make up which was lost from the Uk a long time ago, but has only been withdrawn in the US to make way for this (and from where I was getting my supplies of late). It isn't anything like as good, and for those with mature skin, whereas Clarifying MU evened out lines and pores this rather emphasises them.Not so marvellous for pale skin either in that the palest colour is too white and mask-like (as are most liquid foundations I suppose) and the next up too dark..and tbh both oxidised on me to go a bit more 'orangey' over time.I could have used this when I was 19, but not at 49.Please Clinique: think of your older combi/oily customers and bring back that wonderful Clarifying Make Up: not everyone has dry skin at 50, but we do generally have a few wrinkles! :(

So excited to try this product but it was too cakey on my skin and clumped around dried spots that I have. It felt lovely when I put it on very light and soft. I also found it very difficult to blend and it did not cover my large pores/acne scars at all. After a few hours my t zone areas felt really greasy (which is normally okay with my previous brand of foundation). Overall, I was so disappointed as I have taken roaccutane for my skin for so long and recently converted to the anti blemish solutions moisturiser since I stopped taking it, I had really high hopes and so wanted this to be my new foundation!

i,m 41 and still suffer slight acne.i,ve used this foundation for a couple of weeks now and not one new spot has appeared.yeah! the only trouble is that the same thing has happened as with every other acne product,it is quite drying on mature skin so emphasises lines and can be quite cakey. still searching my holy grail foundation.

I was very much looking forward to trying this foundation having suffered with blemished skin for the last 5 years, the foundation is of a nice consistency but does not seem to go very far, it feels cakey on my skin and does not cover the majority of my blemishes, I always use a foundation brush to apply but it seems to leave patches or streaky marks and builds up around dry patches. Previous to purchasing this foundation I was using a cheap brand which I will be sticking to as it covers and feels so much better on my skin than this.

The foundation is perfect in every way for my skin. I have oily skin with a lot of breakouts.This provides me with optimum coverage but still leaves my skin looking fresh and naturally matte, whilst treating my blemishes.If I want lighter coverage, i simply mix it with a drop of moisture surge and make my own oil free tinted moisturiser!If you have lines or dry skin, and your are not really concerned with blemishes, this foundation is not for you!But if you have oily, blemished skin and large pores it will be perfect for you!

I can now feel confident when going out to face the world.I have used this product for around three weeks now and my skn has never been better. After years of presccriptions, concealers and heavy makeup, my skins condition is being treated while getting an excellent coverage with a foundation that feels like a cross between silk and cashmere.The range of shades is great, I have always found it difficult to get lighter, more natural shades.

Never really liked Clinique products but bought this on a whim. Have had severe acne since I was a teenager and this really keeps oil at bay and is perfect for daywear. Only critcism is that the colour range is poor. I am a fair-ish african and I was between shade 7 and 8 which are the darkest so I can't recommend it to the majority of my family and friends. Still love it though!!

Over the moon with this product, I use all of the anti blemish range as ive been cursed with bad skin since I can remember. This was the missing piece in the jigsaw! the foundation goes on like a dream, blends perfectly and stays put all day. I have really oily skin which usually means I have to apply powder every couple of hours but with this foundation I can go 7 or 8 hours and still be shine free! Would highly recommend this to any of my friends. 5* to Clinique for this one!

A good makeup for men, red skin, acne scars

I used to have severe acne and following 6 months on Roaccutane was left with clear but very scarred skin, on top of this my skin is very red and flushed from side effects of the drug. As a guy, i was reluctant to use a makeup but since using this product (i have the ivory no2) my skin has looked flawless, the redness is gone when it is on. It is also nice to think it may prevent any further spot.s This is just a fantastic product that i would recommend to anyone. It covers redness, scarring, blends skin tone and looks like you're not wearing a thing. As a tip make sure you apply a moisturizer first, any Clinique moisturizer works fine.

pros:

i tried this in alabaster hoping it would help to cover blemishes and help with oily skin. however it was too diluted and did not cover any marks, spots or blemishes. it also felt quite oily on my skin as the day progressed. i would much prefer the clarifying make-up to be brought back into production, as i used it for my prom a while back and it was the best foundation i have used! perfect coverage and it lasted throughout the day and into the night, on a hot summers day.

I am 37 and have suffered with bad skin since I was a teenager.I am very impressed with this foundation, it has better coverage for me than the superbalanced make up and I have had fewer breakouts after using this foundation.The only downside is that it is prone to shine and tends to get a little oily during the day but I blot with a tissue and use a powder on top. Using this combination, this product has a fantastic staying power.

I have had adult acne for over ten years, and been treated with Roacatane and lots of presciption only treatments from the doctor in the past. Tried this and within days my skin is the clearest that I can remember. Given my confidence back. pros:

Amazing foundation by clinique so far, stays on well doesnt slide an sweat off in the day like usuall fondations can become a little shiny but combined with clinique mineral powder its a must have. My skin looks amazing i can tell a difference when i take my make up off and i feel better knowing that it is treating my skin not masking the problem making it worse !It is expensive but personally i dont have to use to much.

Bring back Clarifying Powder Compact!!

pros:

This liquid make up is OK at covering up open pores & small spots. However, it does not control shine & without powder on top is not great at controlling oiliness. Clinique have also discontinued their Oil Blotting Sheets which were also fantastic. I find it takes me ages to apply with foundation brush & then to have to put powder on oily t-zone. Clinique - please bring back the Clarifying Powder compact - it was just so fantastic - I don't understand why you discontinued it!! This new Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Make-Up is not nearly as good!!!

Before this became available I was using Stay True foundation which has now been discontinued much to my horror! In the interim, I tried many other clinique foundations but none were suitable and I was beginning to lose hope until this arrived!I can have the same colour as Stay True and this is just as good as controlling oily skin.My panic is over at last!

I suffer from acne, and I needed a foundation that would be good for my skin. I went to boots and the woman advised me to buy this product, it's much lighter on the skin than other products I have used, and when I take my makeup off the blemishes seem to be less sore, and less red. However, I dont believe it gives a good coverage if you have bad acne, however one of the best foundations I have used, and I will definitely carry on using it.

I struggle to find a foundation that will give me the coverage I desire (enough to cover spots and acne scars), plus keep my skin shine free all day without wearing off. It has been a long struggle but now I can finally say I have found the holy grail. This foundation gives a fantastic cover with only a minimal applied, it blends well, it doesn't give me spots and it doesn't come off by noon. Amazing. Best foundation Clinique make, and I have tried all of them!

Being a guy, making the move to buying foundation was one that I was quite unsure about!I have combination oily skin and for many years now I've used tinted moisturiser to even out my skin.Recently I had quite a few blemishes and my skin wasn't looking great.I've been a fan of Clinique skin care for some time, but never used any of their make up.I went to the Clinique counter and explained my skin concerns and that I'd seen this foundation on the website.I tried two different shades, I'm quite pale and went for the ivory shade. For a few moments of awkwardness whilst I had the two shades tested on my jaw, I'm so glad that I went to Clinique that day.This foundation matches my skin tone perfectly. It evens out and covers all blemishes and it doesn't look obvious in the slightest. The colour is an excellent match and there's no tell tale line along my jaw.I'd definitely recommend that any other guys out there reading this give it a try. As long as the shade matches, no one need know that you have foundation on.It's basically me, but better.

I’ve had acne for over 11years and thanks to Cliniques anti blemish products my skin is the best its been in years. I’ve used Cliniques superfit foundation for a year and although I was happy with the coverage my face was very shiny and I had to top up with powder a few times during the day. I’ve just tried the new antiblemish foundation and wow, great coverage and no shine! I applied powder when putting my makeup on first thing this morning and I’ve not had to top up once today. 7AM – 7PM perfect skin, will definitely be buying this again. Can’t wait to see if this also helps control my breakouts!

Until now, I have always struggled to find a foundation that works well for my combination spot-prone skin.Anti-Blemish Solutions Liquid Makeup provides a natural coverage and can be built up in thin layers to target more problem areas. This product is probably best applied with a foundation brush, but still looks great when applied with finger tips too. I also appreciate that this foundation caters for a wide range of skin tones - I've always found that drugstore brand make-up is too dark for my exceptionally pale skin tone, yet Clinique's Alabaster shade almost matches my skin perfectly (only minimal blending is needed on the jawline and neck).I am still unsure as to whether this foundation really does improve spotty skin, although it certainly isn't cakey, neither does it feel particularly pore-clogging. I also don't think this product does anything to control my oily t-zone - I always have to powder my nose within a few hours of application.Having said that, I love the clean feeling this product provides after application - it is neither heavy, neither does it feel like it is clogging my pores. I also love the packaging, and how the nozzle is somewhat enclosed so as not to allow bacteria inside the bottle. For those reasons and the fact that this product provides the exact amount of coverage I need, I believe I will purchase this product again.Well done Clinique!

This is the first Clinique foundation I have ever tried so I cannot compare to others, however compared to all other foundations I've tried this rates pretty highly. I have very acne prone skin which is helped by the 3-step tremendously, but then other foundations I often feel undo all the hard work my skin care is doing and break me out. I feel very safe using this product on my skin. It's not going to clear you up alone, but it doesn't cause any new breakouts, covers really well the ones that exist, and help calm the redness of the area and continue the healing process. I agree with other reviewers that I still get a shiny breakthrough, but I do have quite oily skin. Overall highly recommended to those with acne prone skin that have trouble with foundations.

I found a shade that matches my skin colour so perfectly, that when I apply this foundation, I can barely see where I'm brushing it on! It's a great foundation for people who suffer from acne and/or oily skin as it does seem to help over time! I use it with other Clinique products (the 3 step system, no 3, the blemish clearing mask, sometimes anti-blemish clearing solution, etc.) and it has really done wonders to my skin.I never feel bad about applying it like I sometimes do with other foundations because it actually heals your spots. Doesn't clog pores, doesn't contain oil, covers any redness very very well. I'd say it's almost perfect! The only thing is that I feel it's a bit thick and this probably makes it difficult to blend really well without any streaks (but that can be dealt with by using a good brush, working it in more and moisturising beforehand). Thank you, Clinique!

I suffered with blemishes since my early teens and it lowered my confidence dramatically. After a week of feeling miserable due to my spots i desided i would go down to my local clinique counter to get this very foundation after seeing a review on it. I walked in and was greeted by a kind adviser who told me that this was indeed a good foundation for my skin and that i was 02 soft ivory. I cannot tell you what a confidence boost this was, My skin looked flawless for the first time in weeks and the colour was a complete match. I would buy this again and again and again thankyou!

Having tried a number of different Clinique foundations I was keen to try this new anti-blemish product. I have combination skin that is prone to breakouts (I have been on antibiotics and used many other spot treatments, but the 3-step has helped alot) and can honestly say that, after using it for about 5 months, my skin has definitely improved. I am getting less spots, and any spots I do have are easily covered with this foundation. It blends really well (especially with Clinique's foundation brush) and gives a flawless finish.There are only two small down sides: 1. by the mid afternoon there is a bit of shine on my nose, and the red areas where I have broken capillaries start to show through but I just reapply a bit to those areas. 2. I have patches that are really prone to dryness and I often have to use moisture surge on those particular areas to stop them looking flakey. However, these are a small price to pay for a foundation that has visibly improved my spotty skin.

I've suffered from acne for nearly 6 years but, now I'm concerned more on my acne scars I wanted to invest a good brand that can help with my redness aswell covering some few breakouts. Nothing worked till' I heard about clinique from a magazine advert so wanted to try and hoped for the best.I've used this liquid foundation for a couple of months now although, my skin is still stubborn and I do get the casual breakouts but, it did help control them still. The coverage is very light so I didn't need to apply lot's to hide my scars and redness. Although, like all foundations if you have really sensitive and dry skin it can be very dehydrating for a couple of hours since, I also suffer from eczema but, I wouldn't say it's the foundation's fault. Overall, I love the foundation definitely will buy again in the future and it does last long so, it's worth the money.

I didn't believe at first that a foundation could both cover up and heal blemishes, and I was right to be suspicious.While this product does provide excellent coverage, better than most other foundations I have used on my blemish prone skin, I didn't see any evidence that over time my skin was getting any better as a result of using the foundation. On the plus side, it didn't get any worse!If you're looking for a miracle product that will wipe away all of your spots and leave you with clear skin forever, this might not deliver. But if you want something that will cover up problem skin and only need touching up once or twice a day, then this is exactly what you're looking for.This product is good, but it's not amazing, so don't get your hopes up.

I have very oily skin and have tried so many different foundations and none have delivered the oil control I need. I originally went in for the new anti-redness foundation that Clinique had just launched but the Clinique consultant recommended the anti-blemish foundation instead and I'm so glad she did. I have never had such perfect-looking skin. It controls the oiliness for almost the entire day. It doesn't dry my skin out but I don't think anything short of ethanol would do that and it makes any red marks or spots almost totally disappear. They should sell it by the litre! I highly recommend it for anyone with very oily skin. It has boosted my confidence immensely.

I used to suffer from very bad acne and was unable to ware make up as it just made my skin worse. But after having some Roaccutain treatment my skin has vastly improved. My problem now is red pigment marks where my spots used to be. I still get the odd spot but nothing as bad as it was so when I heard of a make up especially designed to help against blemishes I was delighted! So I ordered some in the 03 Neutral shade and love it. I was worried cause I do suffer from dry skin that this make up would dry my skin out but if you moisturise properly before you use it and before bed after you take it off than its fine. Feels soft and light to wear. I am one happy customer!

I have heard lots of friends talk about lots of different makeups. But when im due for my time of the month, i break out with lots of spots, and i feel that the hair follicles dont get infected by the makeup, so i dont get any white heads that i have to pop! However, even if i do have a few spots, it covers very well and its the only foundation thats actually helped me with my skin! The price is really good for a foundation like this, it should be higher as the results are really good! Light wearing, looks so natural, i would recommend as a therapist myself.

this foundation is a really good buy! it sits really good on your face and lasts all day without needing a touch up, i suffer from very oily skin on my face, and wash with an exfoliating scrub twice daily and i always had to touch up on powder to cover up the oilyness, since using the anti blemish foundation i never have applied powder and have hours of long lasting anti shine skin!! i am 100% happy with this product and highly recommend this to someone who suffers from oily skin, acne and redness of the skin! be carefull not to put to much on your face as it will go streaky, i place dots on my face and spread it out evenly this will give you the natural and desired look.

I received this foundation as a present as I have spot-prone skin even though it isnt very oily. It has good coverage, it covers most blemishes and dark circles without it looking fake or cakey! This product says what it says on the tube! It does minimise spots and prevents them from coming, so it is great for teenage skin. It comes in many shades so it will suit most skin tones and even though the bottle seems small it lasts a surprisingly long time; I have worn this foundation every day for 6 months and I am still on the first bottle! It spreads excellently! All my friends have been commenting on my foundation and now many of them have got it too! Many people will be put off by the price but it is definitely worth it!

A truly fantastic foundation!! I have always suffered from breakouts and have been generally unhappy with my skin, hence using foundations/concealers etc. I have tried a few different products but this one by far outshines the competition. I have always suffered with combination skin, whether it's from stress or hormone-related, so that's what drew me to try this product. The foundation is lightweight, and i'd say the coverage is medium, plus it helps keeps spots at bay and treats current blemishes.I like to layer up extra concealer on any blemishes and a light dusting of powder with this product, which leaves the skin looking clear and even.I've been using this product for about 10 months now, and i've never had so many compliments about my skin. It also lasts a long time, as a little bit of it goes a long way (i've only just started my third bottle).

I am now about to purchase my second bottle of anti-blemish solutions foundation and have to say i LOVE it! Really liked this product when I first used it as the coverage and staying power was great. The only downside for me is that I have broken out in lots of spots but this is usual for me when I use a new product that also treats blemishes. I was very disappointed with the anti-blemish foundation. You have to put alot on for full coverage and you have to be quick other wise it dries in and goes patchy straight away. After only an hour or so i found it went patchy round my eyebrows, forehead and jawline. I didn't like the way it dried in and would rub off very easily and would need touched up regularly, which also made more patchiness. I always use shade 02 but this made my face look orange.

I bought the loose powder and returned it for this. The woman behind the counter applied it really wellhoweverIve not been able to re create it as well at home. It appears a bit orangey/pinky on my skin, which is not good, it might be that its a shade darker than my skin, which is what happened last time too. For some reason, no on seems to match foundation to my skin, they seem to think asian women are dark and give us medium-dark shades regardless of sin tone. I have tried lots of foundation products that are supposed to be good for oily skin, and this is the best one I have used. I have fairly bad acne on my chin/nose area, and this product covers the spots and associated redness on my skin, helps to reduce the oil production, and stays in place for hours. It feels nice and does not look too heavy on my skin. My dermatologist said it would be OK to use as the active ingredient which reduces blemishes (salycyclic acid) is not high strength as it is a product anyone can buy over the counter and high strength products would need a prescription. I think this product is well worth the money and one bottle has lasted me for 4 months. I just wish the product came in a fairer shade than the one I use - Light Alabaster - as I have very pale, ivory skin tone.

This foundation is brilliant for oily skin tone , i have been using clinique for over ten years and this is by far the best cream foundation i have tried for my skin type.if you are prone to small breakouts every now and then this is perfect , as soon as you put this on it hides the blemish and dulls the redness without the need for concealer . You only need a small ammount aswell but if you want a darker look just use more !works very well with the transparent powder to set , i find i can go a good 8-10 hours without looking greasy which is a brilliant result after years of oily skin . If you use the 3 step skin care then there is no need to use any kind of primer , ive been using the 3 step for around 10 months and my oily skin has improved considerably. I would definatly reccommend this product.

I have normal/combination (sometimes tends to dry) skin type even though this foundation says its for oily types but decided to buy it anyway and I'm glad I did, the foundation is pretty buildable and stays all day long just top it up with your favourite powder and your all good. It's very light on my skin and would say it is light-medium coverage (well depends on how you build your product, I just want mine to look natural and no makeup on). It's not cakey. So far its good.To the same skin type as me and would like to try this foundation just make sure you apply your good pal moisturizer with spf would be a plus.

pros:

I have never used a foundation before and i really hate it when you can see that people have it on, those tell tale lines on the jaw or the orange look. I must say this product is brilliant though. It goes on very easily and seems to blend perfectly.Having never used foundation before it's hard to say if it is better than any others for spot prevention but it doesn't seem to make my spots any worse which is good enough for me :)It lasts ages (I've had mine for 3months and i wear it every day and it's still not run out yet) so even though it's not the cheapest foundation on the market i would say it's excellent value for money.

pros:

I have used this make up for almost 2 years and i am only on my third bottle, it lasts a really long time and i have found using a brush means you use even less! I have had lots of friends ask me what make up i use and i send them straight here. This product hasn't failed to disappoint. I have used the 3 step anti blemish solutions for just over 2 years also which convinced me to try the foundation and continue using the range and have seen a huge improvement in my skin. Not cakey, easy to apply and worth the money!!

pros:

Not a 100% perfect foundation, although it does cover blemishes, i can still see pores on my face. However its the best foundation i have used, and ive been through all the brands, my boyfriend even commented that its the best foundation he has ever seen on my face, its sooo light that aft ive applied it doesnt even feel like i have anything on, which is great during the day but on nights out i like a heavier look so i apply a second layer but it still wasnt that thick. I think i will stick to this foundation for a while

pros:

Decided to treat myself once I got the 3 step anti-blemish solutions and love it! My previous foundation, I felt orange and I knew I was wearing makeup. This product makes me look natural and is very light! Aswell as this, it lasts! I found I needed to take my old foundation to work with me top re-apply but this stuff stays all day.Love it!

Best foundation for oily skin

pros:

I've struggled for years with really oily acne prone skin - this is the best foundation i've found that gives enough coverage, doesn't feel cakey and it doesn't slide off your face like other brands (people with oily skin will know what I mean!). I still have shine by the end of the day, and i'm not sure it helped clear my skin, however for the best oil free coverage, this is the best I've found

pros:

I was pleasantly surprised how well this product reduces shine for quite a few hours, but not all day. Your skin must be superbuffed before application or it can look clarty and by the end of the day sometimes the appearance of the coverage looks uneven. Despite this, I am pleased with it, the level of coverage is just right and it makes my skin look healthy and glowy.

pros:

I was given a free sample of fresh ivory after trying three colours to suit my skin, alabaster was okay but had a pink-ish undertone and my skin is quite olive with yellow undertones. A little tiny amount was all I needed to cover my skin perfectly, although I did need some concealer for a very red spot. My teenage skin doesn't need very much coverage and this is very natural and sheer. I've even been told it looks like I've got a more natural glow! Don't cake this on, it's only for sheer coverage!!!

Having tried all other foundations for oily skin I was advised to try Clinque. Whilst the colour was a perfect match and I liked the feel of the foundation on my skin when I first applied it (you have to be quick though as it dries fast) by the time I got to work my face was shiney and by 10am my face was very oily and patchy, it also did nothing to help my blemishes

I chose what I thought was the lightest shade of this foundation :- Fresh Golden. I couldn't wait for it to arrive, but when I tried it for the first time, I was bitterly disappointed. I looked like a Red Indian!! It was so dark I couldn't possibly use it on it's own!! I will not waste it, but I shall have to mix it with a very light foundation to use it up. I feel cheated. What a waste of money as it is not cheap.

Got this after trying a sample. Matches skin really well, and although doesn't keep shine away all day, does a pretty good job. Probably one of the best I've tried for reducing shine. Good coverage, but won't hide a really red spot on its own.

Been having hormonal problems which are causing skin break outs. I have tried different products by different makers but this one is the best for me. The only issue for me is i wish Clinique did cool and warm tones as their foundations always come up slightly yellow on my skin. I have used many different foundations over the years and none have been as amazing as anti blemish solutions. I wish I had found it sooner as I would have saved myself alot of money! It's so easy to use and matches my skin tone perfectly, which has been an issue with other brands previously as I am quite pale. Really nice natural almost powder like finish,however it won't cover red spots so you will need a seperate concealer,and it doesn't keep shine at bay,you might want to use a powder over the top,but it doesn't seem to clog pores up and it did stay on all day,nice and easy to remove too!

The lady in the shop put it on for me and I was pleased with the results so I bought it after it was recommended by my dermatologist because of my acne. I used to use Mac foundation which is good coverage but not so good for acne. When I put the clinique foundation on at home after about a week it became patchy and blotchy and the coverage wasn't any good. So I found I was using more of the foundation to cover my spots but it was also making my skin appear dirty from the foundations marks. So now I'm worrying about my spots (which have only cleared up a bit) and also looking like I have a dirty face! It dries really quickly so it is not easily evenly applied. It seems the product only works as well as it did when done professionally in the shop when you use all other clinique products with it to prepare the skin. And this does not come cheap! However no problems with oily looking skin and has not made my acne any worse. If anyone has any solutions to my problem I.e, a primer that works with it but is not too pricey then please let me know!

I've had oily problem skin for nearly 20 years and used all kinds of foundations. Most of them have been quite heavy in order to cover blemishes and scars. This is very light on my skin and doesn't feel like its sitting on my face. The coverage is good although I still need a concealer. The colour I chose is a bit darker than I'd like but that's the chance you take ordering online. It's good value for money as a little goes a long way. If you have oily skin and want nice coverage without feeling 'made up' then I recommend this foundation.

As with anything i buy, i checked reviews of this foundation before i bought it. Since everyone seemed to be raving about it i decided to take the plunge and buy it, even though i thought it was on the expensive side. I was really looking forward to using it, but when i got it i was extremely disappointed. Not only does it stick to dry areas like glue, but it also makes my skin look orange and blotchy, despite the fact that the lady on the clinique counter in boots matched me to the colour i bought. I really regret wasting my money on this product now and am very dissatisfied with the quality of the product considering how much it cost.

As I have dreadful skin I always avoid makeup. Always seems to make my skin worse so i started using anti blemish solutions routine everyday and love it. I've felt fed up and decided to take the plunge and buy nice makeup. Well what can I say this foundation is great. I always get a very oily T-zone that's gone. It's really good it goes on lovely with a foundation brush and lasts from 8am till 9/10 pm without me reapplying. On the whole this product is fantastic......Go for it!!!!!
