I always wear lip gloss and never really touch lipstick as I find it too heavy. I bought this in Watermelon and Honey. I was not disappointed. This product is an innovation from Clinique. It's light, non sticky, non greasy, moisturising and has just the right amount of colour to give your lips that "bee stung" affect. I particularly liked the watermelon which suited my complexion perfectly. Would definitely recommend.

pros:

I purchased this lip balm as lip gloss is always too sticky and lipstick leaves my lips dry afterwards. I purchased the Chunky Cherry. I love the colour and the feel on my lips, its non-sticky (so my hair doesn't stick to it at the slightest bit of wind) and leaves my lips really soft and moisturised. The only downside is the colour fades quite quickly then I'm left with patches of the colour on my lips. Despite this, I would still recommend to a friend.

Purchased this recently its fantastic. I'm not a huge fan of normal lipsticks, this is great as it goes on smoothly and stays on for quite a while considering its a balm. I bought 'graped up' and 'mega melon'- I would say if your not sure of what colour to go for then go for a darker one as they are quite sheer. The 'graped up' one looks very dark online but it is the perfect colour, its my new favourite lip colour.

I bought this in the super strawberry and it is a gorgeous colour. Very natural with my complexion as I have very pale skin and dark hair. It is indeed moisturising and the colour does stay on quite a while. However, for me it is not quite shiny enough. I would say that it leaves a subtle sheen but I suppose that is why it is called a lip balm. I just love the colour so much so I would buy it again. I just wish that it was a little bit more shiny because I have to put clear gloss on top. What can I say? I am an 80's girl at heart!

This is a nice easy product to use and a lovely colour. It glides on well and gives lips a nice sheen .It does not have the staying power of a lipstick but it does improve the texture of lips.Will be nice for taking to the beach. It will not melt in the heat as my lipsticks have done in past years.

I love this product, I bought the super strawberry and the colour is lovely. You can easily layer to create a darker effect if you feel its not dark enough. It also feels great and soft on your lips and lasts a reasonable amount of time before you need to reapply.Will definately be buying the other shades.

Im obsessed with lip balms and glosses so just had to try this. I love it, easy to apply, you can put it over or under clear gloss if you want it even shinier. I got 2 colours, one for day and one for night. The more you put on the more intense the colour gets. Fantastic!!

I love this little bar, it's got a rich texture, but not gloopy, and it's very moisturising, but the best of it is the colour. You can build it up and it's extremely flattering. I'm praying they never discontinue these, they are GREAT.

Tried this shade (melon) at my local department store - then found they were out of stock! After much shopping around, bought this online - it was worth the wait! The colour is just right for summer - a flattering coral which is bright without being garish. My only gripe is that I thought it would be more moisturising than it actually was - in general, I need to put clear balm on top - but it lasts well, is easy to apply and perfect to take on hols.

I am slightly disappointed with this. My biggest gripe is the colour- chose Mega Melon which in store and on my hand looked more tawny. In reality it's quite pink and a dark pink at that. The product is very moisturising like a balm, but not glossy. Also the colour does stain your lips but because it's a balm I found the colour bled outside my lip line.I would buy again though if there was a more nude or tawny shade- maybe the Honey shade would have been better.

I am going to do two reviews for this product as got it in two different colours and one was ok and one was not. This is a review for whopping watermelon - it is nothing like the colour online or indeed in the product itselt - it goes on very sheer indeed and there was hardly any colour at all, also def need a balm or something on top as it is very drying. Afraid this has gone in box of stuf I don't use that I let my granddaughters play with! I would not buy this product again.

I brought the whopping water melon and the mighty mimosa and I have to say wow I love them the colour they give my lips is so pretty I'm in love with them . The pencil like way of them it's like drawing on your lips, they make your lips feel so soft . I wasnt sure when ordering whether these were going to be what I expected. I have never got on with lip gloss & moisturising gloss etc, far too sticky for me, but I loved the idea of having a balm with just a hint of colour. As I use lip balm daily I had to place an order for the Chubby Sticks. When they arrived I couldnt believe my luck, they were beyond my expectation. It is a lip balm (feels lovely not sticky) and there is a bit more colour than I thought, I ordered the Violet and the hazlenut, when they are used I will be back for more. I think I'm in love!

I have used the chubby sticks since they came out as they are so nice to use and leave even sore lips feeling better,really good for dehydrated lips at the gym !sadly I sent mine back because when they came the colours didn't look anything like the colours portrayed on the website,they were very much paler than I had hoped .So,it is better to choose your favorite colour in store instead-great product lasts for ages!

I bought the Chubby Stick in colours Curvy Candy and Woppin' Watermelon, the later being my favourite. It is a really nice pink shade.The product is really soft and moisturizing and easy to apply. I really like the packaging being in a stick format, is great for storage and also for popping in your handbag. Love that there is no sharpening involved - all you do it turn the bottom for more product.

After reading great reviews I decided to treat myself to the Woppin' Watermelon. I really love this product! The colour isn't too strong so it's great to use every day, and it's really moisturising too. Plus no stickiness like you get with a gloss! Definitely would like to purchase a couple more...maybe oversized orange and mighty mimosa :o) I would say go to a Clinique counter and try out the colours as they do look quite different to how they look on line.

Subtle, simple and nourishing

pros:

I love this product, it's become one of my favourites. These are great for a subtle flush of colour and are ideal for everyday wear. I have Chunky Cherry and Oversized Orange - with both of them you can either put on a little for a tinted balm look or build the colour up. None of the colours are are as bright and scary on as they look in the tube (the orange looks mad but is a soft peachy/orange shimmer once on). I will definitely be buying more shades.

pros:

Chubby stick has become one of my favourite products that Clinique has made. It leaves a lovely texture on the lips, smooth and is very moisturising. What I love most about it is it's more sheer then a lip stick but gives more colour and less shine then a lip balm (not sticky) so is a great in between, perfect! I bought Graped up and whole lot of honey and both are wonderful for an olive complexion, just bought Fuller fig, can't wait to get more colours! Please Clinique make more dark shades for Asian skin tones :)

pros:

I love this product it's exactly what I was looking for a tint whilst also moisturising my lips which I really need as tints tend to dry out my lips. The only issue I had was with Yodel the delivery service as it said between 2-5 days it ended up being 10 days and I only got it because I emailed to ask why it was just sitting in a dispatch centre for a week.

I ordered two shades of chubby stick in woppin' watermelon & chunky cherry. I have to say, the shades shown here are nothing like in real. Chunky cherry is a very pretty shade and not as bright. I had to send back woppin' melon as it was very pale for me.It is easy to apply just like any other lip balm without a mirror and gives a very fresh look with a natural tinted shade and doesn't look over done. We all need something causal for everyday use, I don't like wearing a thick lipstick everyday or even a high shine lip gloss (which is at times very sticky). This chubby stick gives a good moisture as well as a very decent sheen, this would go very well with bright eye make up.I love this, once I am finished with this one...i'll definitely order a new shade.

This product has become a handbag/makeup bag ALL year round essential. Keeps lips beautifully moisturised and such a fab range of stunning wearable colours. Great in colder months for keeping lips moisturised and chap free but equally great in warmer months when you don't want full coverage of a lipstick but something more sheer/natural. Chubby sticks really do deliver great results and so much more hygienic than dipping your finger in those beastly lip balm pots!

Just bought this in Mighty Mimosa. The colour is beautiful and a bit like your own lips but better. It is so moisturising and not at all drying like a lot of lipsticks. If you want a lip treatment that is a bit more than special get this.

pros:

I bought this product as I wanted a natural coloured lip moisturiser for the winter.The packs are conveniently coloured to show bulk colour so I picked shade 10 thinking it was very neutral however have found that the stick colour is a lot more pink in tone which I am disappointed with as I wanted a very neutral colour.I do not feel that the colour pay off is actually correct for my skin tone as I wanted a more brown shade rather than a pink shade.I would also advise that the shade shown on this website also appears more brown than the actual colour.

I purchased this item with high hopes as I love cliniques products but after trying it I was deeply disappointed. The actual stick of colour snapped after about a week. The actual colour is very faint when on the lips which is misleading from the actual intensity of the lip balm. I found it lasted about 15 minutes then it was gone. Would not recommend.

Normally if I were to wear any lip product I would break out in cold sores almost instantly. I knew Clinique had really natural products so I thought I would risk it and buy a chubby stick in chunky cherry. Well I have not looked back since, I have been wearing chubby sticks for over 3 months and have not had an issue since. I now also own mega melon and super strawberry which are both lovely subtle colours. I hope to expand my chubby stick range in the near future. THANKS CLINIQUE!!!

stronger than I thought

pros:

I do like this very much but it was billed as being very translucent (unlike the Intense version) and that you can therefore get away with stronger colours than you might wear normally. It ended up having more depth of colour than I'd thought although it doesn't stay strong for long. The colour I chose was very nice and not too dark (strawberry something) but I wouldn't risk a stronger one. Not sure about the moisturising bit....my lips feel dry today after wearing it yesterday but then it's a very cold day.....

pretty disappointed with this product. i thought paying that much for lip palm the result will definitely be great but it wasnt. any other less than ��5 lip palm works better than this one. the color was a shock too as it was nothing like the shade shown here. i personally will never buy this again neither do i recommend it!

I read lots of reviews prior to purchase and was aware of the sheerness of this product, however, I wish I'd gone in store to have a better idea of the colour range available. That said, this is comfortable to wear ( has a much more moisturising feel than the intense version ), in fact I've taken to using this as a 'top up' over the top of my intense version and its been really rather fabulous used in this way.

Sadly, this product was a waste of money for me. The colour bares shows and to be honest its just like any other lipgloss. I thought it would be a lip balm with a matte colour but its basically translucent. Not worth the money in my opinion! Lots of cheaper alternatives out there
