How much time do you need for beauty sleep? We say five minutes. Because while we all know that a good night’s sleep does wonders for mind and body, a quick five-minute bedtime routine is enough to give you an overnight beauty boost. With this effective night skincare routine, you’ll wake up to skin that’s soft, supple and glows like a dream.
Step 1: Start with clean skin.
Never go to bed with your makeup on; any trace of makeup or dirt left on skin overnight can clog pores and lead to blemishes. So, always start your bedtime routine with a great makeup remover like Take The Day Off™ Cleansing Balm, a silky balm that sweeps away dirt, makeup and impurities. The formula transforms into a nourishing cleansing oil as you massage it into your skin, working to break up residue and let your skin start fresh. Rinse well with warm water, then pat dry with a clean cleansing cloth. For the ultimate clean, double cleanse with a cleanser tailored to your skin type. There’s a version of our fan-favourite Liquid Facial Soap cleanser that will work for sensitive, dry, oily and combination skin types, or if you’re particularly prone to breakouts our blemish-control cleanser is a no-brainer.
Step 2: Introduce a gentle peel.
Incorporating a liquid exfoliator into your nighttime routine two or three times a week can make all the difference to your glow. Our Clarifying Do-Over Peel is gentle enough to use multiple times a week, yet powerful enough to reveal millions of new cells with every use. Its 32% Micro-Acid+ Complex (a seven-acid blend of AHAs, BHA and PHA, including salicylic acid, glycolic acid and lactic acid) helps boost skin’s natural renewal through multi-level exfoliation. The result? Skin is perfectly primed for next skincare steps and looks radiant when you wake up.
Step 3: Battle blemishes.
No matter how dewy and hydrated your skin looks, it’s always annoying when a blemish pops up. Be prepared with Anti-Blemish Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel. This potent topical treatment is powered by a cocktail of targeted ingredients: salicylic acid to help clear dead skin cells that contribute to clogged pores, laminaria saccharina extract to help prevent oil buildup, and witch hazel to reduce shine.
If you battle regular breakouts and blackheads, apply a thin layer to your entire face nightly, or if your breakouts are more sporadic, dot a small amount on individual blemishes using a cotton bud.
Step 4: Bring in the moisture.
Hydration is the final, and arguably most important, nighttime step. Your nightly moisturiser can absorb deeply into skin undisturbed, without being interrupted by daily wear (think makeup, changeable weather, touching your face, etc.) Moisture Surge™ 100H Auto-Replenishing Hydrator is not only super soothing with its lightweight gel-cream texture, but it’s also full of good-for-skin ingredients like hyaluronic acid, aloe vera bio-ferment and vitamins C and E to help attract and retain moisture.
As a luxurious treat, double down on the hydration with our Moisture Surge™ Overnight Mask, an intensely creamy, soothing formula with activated aloe water and murumuru butter. Apply a light layer as the final step in your routine to deeply nourish skin as you sleep. After all, nothing says ‘I got my full eight hours’ like waking up with plump, dewy, glowy skin.
